mhoster56 (34), Fleetwood, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 21, 2006 If you like the bitterness of a good coffee, try this beer. It was like consuming cold, chocolately espresso -- fantastic! It pours with a silky tan head. It appears midnight black; dark enough to obscure the light of day. The coffee flavor certainly lingers in one’s mouth for minutes after each sip. This is a beer you want to drink by the fire after a nice meal, as more than a bottle in an evening would be excessive.
bigrond (873), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 16, 2008 this beer is delicious. Plain and simple. Deep, dark, and rich. I feel like I could drink this instead of coffee in the morning.
Another winner from Bells. Snojerk321 (1029), San Diego, California, USA Oct 15, 2008 Pours black with tan head that slowly diminishes. Aroma is smoky and full of coffee with hints of chocolate. The body is medium to full. The taste is all about coffee. Really nice roasted flavors. with a lingering bitter finish. very nice. movezig (41), Pensacola, Florida, USA Oct 15, 2008 Very good stout. Small tan head. Light on the palate which is good for this type of stout. Nose is chocolate, caramel here and there, and strong coffee. Really enjoyed this one. Cheers! jjpm74 (3161), Stratford, CT 06614, Connecticut, USA Oct 12, 2008 Pours brown with a thin tan head. Smells of coffee, chocolate, some spicy hints, roasted malt, vanilla. Tastes sweet and semi bitter with a coffee flavor that is complimentary rather than the dominant feature. Some dark fruity hints emerge on the finish. The body on this one is slick. Very enjoyable beer. fatti_bobatti (229), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Oct 7, 2008 liquorloft tallahassee, strong aroma of fresh ground coffee beans and vanilla. taste is lots of malt and coffee, chalky but pleasant in the finish. lasting coffee roast taste. a great coffee stout.
