Pours black with a brown head and strong aroma of coffee beans. A lot of flavor in this brew, heavy on coffee, mocha, and chocolate while sweet with a slightly bitter finish. Loads of coffee flavor in this brew, very nice.

This roasty beast pours black with a nice head. Rich aromas of whole roasted coffee beans and a little chocolate malt greet the nose. Medium body smooth roasty malt tastes like dark chocolate and finishes with a lovely lingering of fresh coffee. This is one of the best coffee stouts I’ve had.

12oz bottle, bottled 9/22/11. Pitch black color, thin medium-brown head that fades to minimal. Super-awesome coffee aroma. I love it. I had this and the Troegs Javahead back-to-back last night, and I definitely prefer this (albeit by a small margin). They’re both totally different animals, however, and both great brews. Taylor tasted it, and she described it as a "punch in the face" (she preferred the Javahead). Yeah, it’s a punch in the face, but that’s what I want from a java stout. This delivers, call me enchanted. Taste is nice and roasty, light bitter. Body really stands out from the Javahead, this is much heavier and thicker with a less pronounced light and crisp carbonation, definitely very big and chewy. A great brew.

Wow. Nutty coffee combined with Bell’s delicious stout, this beer will awaken all your senses.
