The satisfying elements of both stout and coffee come together in this full-bodied treat. A marriage of Sumatra's best with rich chocolate and roasted malt provides for a truly enlightening beer.

Bottle. Pours black with a light tan head. A lot of coffee and roast malts on the aroma, though not overpowering. The flavor is also coffee driven - indeed, I’d say it’s closer to an iced coffee than a beer. But it’s not unbalanced, and there are a lot of nice chocolate and roasted malt notes. A bit more coffee-heavy than I’d prefer, but a very nice example of the style. It reminds me of a slightly less intense Speedway Stout - a lot of similar character.

Dark pour thick foamy tan head. Strong smell of coffee and chocolate with roasted carmel. Med body. Smooth finish, just right amount of bitter. Starts with chocolate and coffee tingles on the tongue

Bottle. Seems like a good way to ease out of a Friday afternoon working from home. Near black pour with small cream-colored head that isn’t huge but sticks around for a long, long time Aroma initially is dominated by coffee, but after it warms in the glass for a few minutes you realize that there’s also a huge rich chocolate component as well. Taste is moderately sweet, with nice finish that dances between roast coffee bitterness and decadent fudgy chocolate. Medium+ body, average carbonation, surprisingly velvety texture. Overall: This is one impressive coffee stout. Loving this.
