Very nice to see a Bells brett beer. And a good example of the style - mildly funky, with good malt balance and solid but unobtrusive hops. Tasty.

Draft. Horse blanket and caramel malt aroma. Cloudy orange-brown with small head. Sweet caramel malt and strong barnyard flavor. Mildly bitter finish. Excellent blending of Brett and malt. Very well done and tasty.

Peach colour in appearance. Definitely has that sour bret yeast aroma and some taste, but with a prominent citrus note as well. Unique.

On tap; a deceptively complex beer. Some brett and rye in the aroma, with a bit of the NW hops. Flavor had the same type of blend and really had some nuance. I don’t think it all worked for me completely, but good overall.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Trion. Tart funky barnyard, woody, caramel malt aroma. Cloudy light amber with a small ivory head. Funky barnyardy brett, light sweet malt and a hint of grassy bitterness. Light body, soft carbonation. Too bad I managed to spill this one, because I could have drunk much more.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Meat Bell’s event at Taps 25. Nice and light with a bit of funkyness. A big improvement on the Oarsman by Bell’s in the "sourish" category.

Love this beer in all kinds of ways. Pours cloudy orange with some lacing and not much head. Aroma has medium dose of brett without overpowering taste. Also some banana, booze and floral hops. Taste sour and bitter and sweet in great balance. Wild palate. Tap at brewpub.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Taps 25, Lansing. Hazy medium orange-brown body, thin ring of off-white carbonation. Nose spicy, reminiscent of a Belgian Tripel but drier and biscuity. Body a tad funky, spicy, with wet grass, hay, and floral elements playing off white wine notes. Lots of green apple and cloves as the beer warms. Reminds me of something Unibroue would brew.
