A remarkably drinkable Double IPA that pays tribute to one of Mother Natureís finest creations, as several hop varietals combine for massive aromas of tropical fruit, citrus and pine. A mild caramel malt character and dry finish provide balance.

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a somewhat cloudy with sediment appearance with a deep amber color and a good-sized foamy off white head with long retention, and average cling and lacing. Its aroma featured different spicy hops notes, including citrus, pine, some lighter floral tones, and a slight caramel malt component as well. Its taste was predominantly bitter and hoppy with notes of citrus, perhaps some grapefruit, and pine, matched with a slight malty effect. The beer was very dry and thinner in terms of mouthfeel wtih good carbonation and a bubbly feel.

UPDATED: AUG 23, 2016 12 ounces 05/11/16 bottle from Craft Beer Cabin, thanks Guillaume for buying. Aroma: oranges, bread, caramel and floral notes. App: hazy copper, huge frothy off white head with good lacing. Taste and palate: medium body, light sweetness, fruity but well backed with malt, creamy mouthfeel, light to moderate bitter finish. Overall: even though this probably isnít really fresh, itís still highly drinkable. Wish I had a fresher bottle. Iíll tell my brother to look at the dates next time ;) just kidding, just happy he brought me something. This is the old iipa style, not the English style but more like the dfh 90 minutes style: more malted and more balanced. Not exactly what I like to drink these days but letís be honest this is well made and perfectly balanced. Far from my favourite iipa but far from the worst as well. Iím pretty sure their goal was achieved with this beer which is to create a balanced iipa. Wouldnít mind drinking this on a cruise ship or any time this winter since it feels pretty big. Another great beer from Bells.

Hazy amber appearance with a large, off white head and good lacing. Aroma of fuzzy fruit fades and is replaced with citrusy, floral hops. Although caramel malts exert a lot of influence, especially in the aftertaste, there is a variety of hop flavors tugging at the palate. Medium-to-full bodied mouthfeel, not too boozy, leading to a long lasting finish. Not a bad package but I want my tastebuds assaulted by the hops when consuming a DIPA (i.e. Hopslam).

12 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy orange amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out a good mix of resinous hops and caramel malt, pretty chewy and malty. Flavour is big and chewy, with a big caramel malt base, followed by loads of resinous hops. Chewy and thick palate without being too sweet. Good stuff for what it is, just a bit too sweet for me.
