Served on-tap at Alís of Hampden.

A - Pours hazy amber orange with a nice one finger tall white head, quickly dissipating down to a small ring around the edge, leaving sticky webs of lace on the sides of the glass.

S - Smells of caramel, toffee, pine needles, earthy hops, dash of fresh fruit and plenty of mildly toasted sweet malt.

T - Starts off with toffee and pine resin quickly being joined by the earthy and fruity hops and finally the sweet caramel malt. Finish is a little sweet with some backing dryness, lingering long after the finish.

M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Slick, sweet feel with some dryness after each sip.

O - A decent DIPA. I am always interested in trying new to me Bellís beers but I have had better from them.

Had a glass on tap. Solid, not as good as Hopslam. A slight corn note. Good, though.

Normal DIPA for which i really was disappointed with Bells. All of their other offerings are much further developed then this.

On tap: The aroma consists of moderate citrus, peach, and grapefruit. Itís a transparent amber with a small white head that quickly fades to a thin film. The flavor starts with citrus and peach. The finish has grapefruit, spicy hops, and a hint or grass. Itís medium bodied with a slightly sticky mouthfeel.

tectactoe (1520) - Michigan, USA - NOV 20, 2013
Tap: murky, cloudy amber with orange edges & a light khaki head that settles to a film on top. Aroma has light citric hops, mild pine & spice, & a solid undertaking of caramel malt. Taste is thinner than expected with some light leafy hops, a bit of pine, a mildly herbaceous note, light grapefruit rind, & some toasty sweet, borderline-caramel malt in the finish. Slightly bitter, alcohol well hidden at 8%+ ABV. Not bad at all.

Draft->snifter. Very hazy deep orange with small offwhite head. Strong pungent citrus hops dominates the malt base. Dense and chewy. Very good.
