Draft at Churchkey during DC Craft Beer Week. Thanks to solidfunk. Poured a golden orange color with a medium white head. Citrus notes, some pine. Decent, balance, toffee, pine. Okay, but no Two Hearted.

Not quite where two hearts is but I has that one first fresh from the source. Citrus pine and decent malt backbone. Very drinkable. Tap at Churchkey.

Draft: A bit disappointed with this one...not that its not good, itís just way maltier than I was hoping for. It still has some of the nice grapefruit in it, but itís mostly bready and earthy. Good, though.

Tap pour into tulip glass at Sheffieldís. Definitely a good looking copper color which complements a sweet aroma. Some citrus notes throughout but Iím getting a healthy amount of sugar too. Fulfills all of the requirements of a double IPA. Really like how this finishes. Not overly hoppy but enjoyable. Almost too run of the mill for me which will prevent it from scoring really high. A tasty choice but Hopslam is preferred.

Tap in goblet at Sheffields in Chicago. Light Copper with really nice white head and excellent lacing. Smells really pine and citrus. Slightly bitter, but has sweetness and nice mouthfeel . Finishes with some resin pine. Generally a really good dipa, leaning on the hoppier side. Very good.

On Draught
Pours a deep golden color with a small head and some nice lacing on the glass.

The aroma is orangey and some light melon like hops. Itís got a light malt sweetness and is generally bright, aromatic and fun.

The flavor has a low bitterness and isnít especially sweet nor dry. Itís got some clean maltiness. The hops are to the fruitier end with some citrus and tropical fruit, but also some pine and herbal notes as well. Certainly itís got a well balanced flavor, but itís also hop dominant.

Cool

Served on-tap at Alís of Hampden.

A - Pours hazy amber orange with a nice one finger tall white head, quickly dissipating down to a small ring around the edge, leaving sticky webs of lace on the sides of the glass.

S - Smells of caramel, toffee, pine needles, earthy hops, dash of fresh fruit and plenty of mildly toasted sweet malt.

T - Starts off with toffee and pine resin quickly being joined by the earthy and fruity hops and finally the sweet caramel malt. Finish is a little sweet with some backing dryness, lingering long after the finish.

M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Slick, sweet feel with some dryness after each sip.

O - A decent DIPA. I am always interested in trying new to me Bellís beers but I have had better from them.
