Piney, light, with slight citrus. Kind of straight forward, and lacks depth. Strong pine in the finish.

Sampler Flight pour on tap at Eccentric Cafe (Kalamazoo, MI). Pours a nice deep amber orange hue, a gentle bit of haze but a deeper glow permeates the body, summer sunset hues come in and out with a frothy whitish head atop that dies to a firm ring, good lacing for it’s size. Aromas show citrusy grapefruit, a bit of leon, florals and green earthy hops. Touches of bready malts, a touch more subtance. Growing hop elements as we settle in. Initial is lighter end of the fold with a touch of girth, firm bite of grapefruit with touches of melon, lemon and florals. Nice spritzy citrus hop element picks up steam with grapefruit zest, juice elements setting the pace. Middle is cleaner body, allowing the hop elements to shine. Firm bitterness and florals hit into the backend, fresh American hop vibe shows just a bit of tropical fruit, faint melon and gumball. Finish is dry, a firm bitterness lingers on with pithy grapefruit, some florals and earth. Solid, fresh. The body never gets in the way, just a touch of Crystal sweetness at times that even drewbeerme could tolerate, and allows a good hop element to shine albeit not in an oppressive/overdone manner. Tasty stuff.

I expected more from a Bell’s IPA. Overall, pretty light IPA with notes of citrus/grapefruit, mild hops, and some grass. Not even close to the same quality as Two Hearted.

Overall a very tasty brew. Very mild in every sense - a bit sweet at first, melds into a faint citrus hop flavor. Lingers for a decent bit. Quite a pleasant beer, seems like it could make a good session beer

22 oz bottle from the brewery, served in a stem glass. Pours hazy caramel with a moderate beige head that mostly remains and leaves a small amount of fine lace. The nose has moderate pine, caramel and grain. The flavour is balanced, moderately hoppy and moderately grainy-caramelly. The finish is medium in length, medium hoppy and grainy. On the body it is medium in body with a milky texture and average carbonation. Overall, a decent IPA but not terribly remarkable. 2013-12-29

The Kalamazoo IPA pours a subset orange with a thick ivory head that lasts a good while and leaves thick rings of lacing. The aroma is citrus, grapefruit and orange. The flavor is citrus all the way. Overall this is a nice IPA ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber. Body is a coppery amber and supports a medium-sized fluffy white head. Aromas are of pineapple, orange, papaya and a little caramel. Flavor is an odd and swirling mix of many elements and each sip seems to have a different highlight from the one before it. Lots of citrus and tropical fruit, but sometimes it is more resiny... doughy malt but it has a bit of cream to it every now and again... effervescent mouthfeel and a nice bitter resin finish. Interesting.
