This is a full-bodied stout with plenty of roast flavor as well as hints of molasses and chocolate. Ridiculous amounts of black and caramel malts make this stout smooth, creamy, and utterly opaque.

12 oz bottle at the Electric Earth Cafe, surprised to find this one here. Nose coffee, a metallic coffee with some roasted barley and chocolate. Dark black appearance with a light brown head that thins. Total roasty, dark barley flavor with a bitter coffee and chocolate thing going on. Granola finish with some nutty almond flavors and some grassy hops in there also. Medium body.

pours very dark with a nice creamy head. Very smooth and drinkable with a great roasted flavor and hints of coffee and bitter chocolate. Overall a great, strong stout.

Pours a deep reddish chestnut color, almost black, with a thin tan head. The aroma is very strong with sweet fruits, like cherry and pear. Scents of the finest chocolate in the world tease the nostrils. A bit of hop spiciness mixed in as well. Truly delicious aroma. The taste is strong on dark, bittersweet chocolate. A nice sweetness follows, as well as defined roasted notes. The finish presents more fruity chocolate, with a wisp of smoke. A bit of vanilla is present as well, mixed in with the solid malt flavor in the background. As you can tell, this is one very complex beer. I also sense a bit of nuttiness in there as well. The mouthfeel is very smooth, and shows a moderate body. Not as thick as some sweet stouts, but flavor is what this beer is all about.

Classic: deep & dark and roasted & toasted. Aromas of coffee, dark chocolate and BBQ briquettes. Rich flavors throughout. Healthy bitterness to balance things out. Solid stout with tons to offer.

Poured a nice dark brown/coffee color with a medium light brown frothy head that diminished to almost nothing. Aroma reminded me of molasses with a touch of licorice and roasted malts. First taste, wow, complex; creamy, rich, roasted coffee with some caramel and a slight alcohol taste, had some sweetness yet nicely balanced with the hop bitterness. Continued to improve as I drank and the beer warmed. Excellent brew full bodied and VERY tasty!

Very tasty! I could taste all kinds of good stuff on my first sip. The aroma is nice but you can definatley smell the alcohol even though its not a very strong beer. Still very good stuff!

Great stout. Had a thick tan head and poured coffee black but left good after taste.

Very good stout. Nice and strong, but not overpowering. Doesn’t overdo it on the roasted barley.

Cask conditioned version at Firkin. Nice light brown creamy head with excellent lacing. Brown-black color with heady aroma of bitter chocolate and roasted malt, with touch of resiny hop. Creamy full body that started with a sweetish smooth chocolate with a burnt malt taste and finished with moderate bitterness. Very enjoyable beer to savor alone after a meal.
