Bottle. Dark black coffee body with a thick beige head. Nose is all roasted malts. Thick roasted/coffee flavors. Very nice and drinkable. Perfect amount of bitterness. Very, very well done and deserving of such a high average.

Pours black with a decent tan head. Semi-strong coffee aroma. Mild coffee flavor in the middle. Long coffee aftertaste. Drank three of these. One with dinner was much better than other two. Overall was decent but I am not a coffee fan.

Nose is caramel, milk, coffee - warm and fuzzy. Bitter up front, giving way to milky coffee, toffee. I can barely feel some hop tingles. Great roasted sweet finish

This is very good. Wonderful coffee and chocolate aroma, with a dark almost black colour. The head was huge and really stuck around. The taste was bitter coffee with a very nice balance of malt. Really, really nice stout.

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2005 Bottle: Aroma is light coffee and chocolate. Pours a dark brown, virutally black, with a big tan head with decent retention. Nice roasted coffee flavor with a nice balanced chocolate maltness. Black coffee bitterness in the finish. Nice stout.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2004 Black with a beautiful dark brown head. Has a strong chocolate and coffee aroma that resembles a chocolate expresso. The flavor is dominated by sweet chocolate with a nice touch of slighty bitter coffee to compliment it. Has a wonderful creamy mouthful that leaves the mouth satisfied.

Pours a deep black with a halo of an off-white head. Aromas of Roasted nuts, chocolate, espresso and a little hay. Mouthfeel is medium bodied wih a creamy finish. Flavors chocolate, caramel, a slight charcoal-y roastiness and again, espresso. Very nice for a sweet stout. Reminds me of an oatmeal stout.

I had to double-check to make sure I wasnít pouring from a bottle of Bosco, this stuff poured out so thick and dark, dark brown. Then I remembered, Bosco doesnít have a head, and this has a thin, dark brown head... for a while. The aroma is heavy with coffee, chocolate, and perhaps a hint of licorice. This is a very creamy drink. The taste is roast coffee and chocolate and caramel and maybe even a hint of sweet malts. Has a dry coffee finish... and leaves your lips sticky.
