On tap at the brewpub. This is a delicious stout. Very dark pour, with mocha head. Extreemly inticing roasted and nutty aromas. The flavour is nice and carmelized, with some nutty and coffee tastes in there. Nice after taste as well.

Very good dark appearance. Perhaps the standard for the head. I was a little dissapointed in the flavor.

Bottle. Fairly strong toasted nutty aroma, with some chocolate and fruity notes as well. Small tan head. Pure thick black and chunky texture. Tasty! A very good representation of the style. Hard to find too many flaws with this beer. Bells really excels at making the strouts with this and expedition.

The aroma is very coffee like with hints of chocolate. The color is a deep, dark, black with a thick creamy tan head. There is a nice roasted coffee flavor with a background of chocolate and some hop. The finish is creamy and smooth.

Bottle. Tasting session with omhper and ante. Thanks MI2CA for the bottle!
Small head. Burned aroma. Lovely roasted taste without the common offtastes of bacon and rubber. Dark caramel, salmiak, cookies. Sweet fullbodied and clean taste. Beautiful.

Bottled. Opaque black, brownish head. Smokey coffee aroma. Dryish and very roasty with medium body. Strong sooty tar flavour, some dark chocolate in the finish. Interesting and rather complex.

Black with a low beige head. Roasted aroma, notes of vanilla, cocoa, cracker and walnut. Flavour of coffee and dark chocolate with sweet undertones of cookies, blueberr jam, almond and nuts. Long aftertaste of dark chocolate, breadcrusts, roasted coffee and cocoa. Nice stout.

Very thick, looks like syrup when pouring into a glass. I was a little surprised for a 6.5% to have such strong flavor, a little to strong. It wasnít as smooth as I was hoping. Definately a sipping beer. However, I still enjoyed it and would buy it again.

Pours black with a small brown head. Nice hop aroma with touches of coffee and roasted malts and caramel. Moutfeel is gritty, oily and much more carbonated that I expected. Tastes of chocolate, coffee beans, rye bread, and a long lingering roasted hops finish.
