Dec 31, 2008 Updated: Jul 24, 2009Pours black with reddish accents only at the very edges when held to the light, topped by a 3 finger toasty tan head that has great retention. Aroma is toffee, lots of caramel and chocolate, and sweet roast. Flavor is very roasty, plenty of toffee, caramel coffee and chocolate, a hint of smoke and char as well. Finish is roast and light bitter hops. Body is medium slightly sticky and perfectly carbonated, slightly chalky on the finish. Great stout

Flavor is of mostly roasted malts, some creaminess and a medium amount of hoppiness. notes of caramel, molasses, dark coffee and dust. finishes with burnt coffee and a high vanilla note. I like this fine, however it is not my favorite stout. - I want to try the double cream stout from bells, I might like that better.

Dec 11, 2008 Ink black with a thick tan head. Aroma of roasted decaf. Taste of semi sweet chocolate and coffee grounds, but in a good way. Definitely a keeper.
