Magicdave6 (5400), London, Greater London, England Oct 7, 2008 Bottle at chris o’s pre beerexposed tasting. Alround rating: Roasty, thin, not really much going on, pritty boring stuff and not really my style. I cannot see for the life of me how this could get such a high rating. beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA Oct 6, 2008 Delicious stout, big chocolate flavor up front, roasty and smooth, with a dry bitter chocolate finish. Slight scent of licorice, lingering coffee notes in the finish. Pours black with a smooth brown head. Just really well built in every way. thewolf (5635), Kolding, Denmark Oct 2, 2008 Bottle @ Chris o’s Pre-Beer Exposed Tasting, September 2008.
Pours impressively black with a small, creamy, staying, brown head. Sweet aroma, lots of chocolate and coffee. Low carbonation, wonderful, creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is impeccably elegant. Sweet, light dryness, coffee, cocoa. Stunningly balanced and only 6 %. Great. lightning9191 (82), Christiansburg, Virginia, USA Sep 28, 2008 Pours jet black with a tan head. The aroma is big coffee. The flavor is largely coffee, with some background chocolate notes. It has a heavy body with low-medium carbonation. This a delicious stout! It is like espresso beer. chimplechamp (463), Oslo, Norway Sep 28, 2008 tap at dos segundos- pours black withf rothy foamy head. nose is light taste is roasty burnt toast, burnt coffee, so roasted. maybe a bit one sided. it is probably the roastedest beer i’ve ever had. it is bitter from the roast. it is a strong taste. dont know if paired well with the nachos either. dogfish120love (250), west hartford, Connecticut, USA Sep 28, 2008 Pours black with a dark mocha colored head. Smells of Chocolate, cofee and alchohol. Tastes of rich chocolate, cofee, and alcohol. The flavors blend nicely. I went into this thinking it was an imperial stout, but when i started to smell it i realized it was just a stout. I definety could taste alcohol even though it dosn’t have a ahigh ABV. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Sep 27, 2008 Bottle. Poured a dark brown/black with a three finger brown head.
