Bells Kalamazoo Stout

Pours a deep brown/black with a small thin coffee colored head. Aromas of coffee roasted malts. Taste is very much the same. Palate is nice and creamy and silky. Dont let the short review fool you, this is a fantastic beer!

Poured a dark brown/ black with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malts and a bit of coffee. Taste of roasted malts with mild coffee flavor and some hops bitterness in the finish. More carbonated that I would have expected. A very nice stout.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a black/dark brown color with a light to medium head. Aromas of cherry, dark chocolate, coffee and licorice are apparent on the initial pour. Consistiency is full-bodied with a bitter finish. Overall, a very nice selection.

aroma is roasty with some licorice and coffee. pours black with off white head. flavor is roast, coffee, licorice, and some raisin. full bodied. a good stout in everyway, it just didn’t knock my socks off.

Pours black with a a lot of tan head. Aroma is a smoky mix of chocolate, coffee, and malts. Flavor tastes strongly of the roasted malts with hints of the coffee coming through. The warmer it gets, the more the coffee is evident. Extremely drinkable.

Pours an opache black with a small tannish head. Aroma is sweet chocolate and coffee. Maybe just a hint of dark fruit buried underneath all of the dark malt. Flavor is really more of the same although the fruit shines through a bit more. Finishes somewhat short and cocoa bitter. Medium bodied, very smooth texture.

Bells in Chicago, it was a happy weekend. This is obviously a very well done stout, I think it just isnt made in the way I like it. It carried a very smokey flavor that I have never liked in any beer. Other than that it is great with the normal stout descriptions without getting so heavy it becomes are to drink.

From a bottle poured black with a fair amount of head. Nice tiasted malt flavor with a lingering finish.
