| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 8, 2009 Bottle on 08/08/09. Pours a deep opaque black with a small tannish head which quickly dissipated. Aroma is caramel and chocolate with a sort of milk stout-ish sweetness. Flavors are what I think a great pint of Guinness should taste like. Deeply roasted and dry without being too heavy. The finish is distinctly bitter, with probable contribution by the strongly roasted/burnt malts. A nice solid offering that I’ve been wanting to try for a good while. cprochak (393), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Coffee in aroma that is dominated by sweet chocolate and caramel. Extremely well balanced stout. Nice sweetness, then a slow bitterness, then an amazing bitter coffee finish that lingers. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 6, 2009 This was an overall good Stout. Poured dark with a small brown head that was short lasting. Not quite as strong as some Stouts but was refreshingly tasty. The aroma was pleasant with undertones of coffee and roasted grains. A must try. Not the best Stout around but still delicious. ericandersnavy (1051), crossroads, Texas, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 1, 2009 12 ounce bottle enjoyed on a rainy summer day. Absolutely picture perfect pour. It came out a dark black color with a very nice 1.5 finger width tan head. The aroma is fairly bland for a stout. It consisted of roasted malt, faint coffee, and possibly some very subtle dark fruit notes. The taste also consisted of roasted malt and some coffee. It left a bit of a strange metallic aftertaste though. Finished with a nice bitter taste. Overall, a very good stout, but definitely not as good as Bells Expedition...
