Commercial Description:
This is a full-bodied stout with plenty of roast flavor as well as hints of molasses and chocolate. Ridiculous amounts of black and caramel malts make this stout smooth, creamy, and utterly opaque.

Tried this at a tasting at Wine World in NA. Bought some, went home and consumed more. Is it great? Yes. Best? No. But its a wonderful beer!

Bottle courtesy of ericandersnavy. Batch 6007. Solid black pour with a tangible head. Beautiful notes of coffee and chocolate. Some smoked notes as well like soft bacon. Meat remains on the flavor. Interesting taste. Finish retains a smoky feeling. Some amounts of bitter coffee. A good stout that aged for several years before we enjoyed it.

Syrupy black pour—great head with lacing. Nose is coffee and a little fruit with ever-so-slight hops. Chewy mouthfeel. Taste is strong coffee with consistent smooth malts. Caramel finish with some hops. Very complex, powerful brew. Awesome, but I prefer Expedition.

Pours dark with a light tan head. Aroma similar to taste with some dry toastiness and a little bitterness. A good beer.

Lovely fat aroma for a 6% brew, loads of "brown" smells of molasses, chocolate, light caramell, smooth roasted flavours and some coffe. Very big for the ABV, very drinkable and perfectly balanced but the aroma is a just a bit fater and more inviting then the taste actually delivers.

Pours nearly black with a thin beige head and nice lacing. Coffee aroma and a little roasted malt. The flavor is complex with some coffee, malt, chocolate and a mildly smoky finish. Medium-heavy mouth feel is satisfying. Not too sweet nor bitter, good balance. Overall quite good and will probably be a regular for me.
