This is a full-bodied stout with plenty of roast flavor as well as hints of molasses and chocolate. Ridiculous amounts of black and caramel malts make this stout smooth, creamy, and utterly opaque.

Pours black with a thin khaki head. Slight maltiness on the nose. Big licorice on the tongue. Very flavorful. Finishes clean. Solid example of style.

Pour dark, like an evil dark. About an inch of tan head. Good body. Thick. Tastes of chocolate, malts, sweetness, and caramel. The licorice is a nice accompaniment rather that the star of the show.

From the bottle the pour is very dark chocolate in color, the head is nut brown and lingers on the beer, the aroma is roasted oats with caramel and toffee notes in the back of the nose, the taste is smokey with a hints of caramelized sugars in the finish. Great stout.

Just a great stout. Pours perfectly - nice lingering brown head that lasts the whole beer. Lush, full mouth feel. Lots of delicious dark roast, but not very bitter - more milk chocolate than cocoa. Some anise flavor, too. Overall great beer.

12oz bottle. WOW. Pour was almost perfect. Dark, dark and more dark. Head is thick, foamy and lasted FOREVER. Glass was empty, and beer still had foamy head. Roast everything-coffee, malt, espresso, chocolate. A little bit of molasses and licorice. Slight bitterness on the finish. Not enough to worry about..Not much wrong with this beer. Maybe a little more on the abv, but that’s a minor complaint. Wish I had a second bottle

A good stout full of flavor. A little on the mild side. I'd like a bit more kick or flavor.

Bottle. Pours black with tan head. Aroma is chocolate and burnt toffee. Taste is sweet chocolate malt toffee up front with a chocolate burnt marshmallow finish. I like it!

Roasty, toasty espresso everywhere! Ink black color with a tan head that pretty much dissipates rather quickly. The color is truly opaque. A brilliant complex, dark aroma. Just a touch too bitter for my taste on the finish, but that is emblematic of the American Stout style. It’s delicious if you’r down with the bitterness.
