This is a full-bodied stout with plenty of roast flavor as well as hints of molasses and chocolate. Ridiculous amounts of black and caramel malts make this stout smooth, creamy, and utterly opaque.

Nice dark color with foam hat cappuccino color, persistent and compact. The taste is clean, with an important body, creamy, sweetened by a light molasses that is well balanced with the toasted malts and the chocolate. Great beer.

35,5cl bottle: Thanks Owen: Served in a Chouffe glass: Almost black beer. Quick disappearing brown head. Nose of roast, malt roast, light nutty, liquorice, ash, tobacco and some prunes... Flavour is roasty, bitter, malt and tobacco roast, some prunes, ash, light liquorice, light coffee... Aftertaste is bitter, roast, malty, some ash, light coffee and herbal roast. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, more than medium bodied. Decent!

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2016 From Labirratorium. In Teku glass. Playing Magic Duels. Perfectly balanced in all aspects. Tasty and not overwhelming roastyness. Well placed noble hops. No trace of alcohol nor of the licorice announced in the label.

From bottle. Black pour with a creamy tan head. Aroma has roasted and caramel malts, light licorice maybe, chocolate, toasted malts, hints of spice like clove and cinnamon. Taste is super smooth, sweetish, light bitterness in the after taste. Super Nice creamy body and a light carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a deep black with a two finger dark brown head. One of the most flavorful beers Iíve ever had, but without too much alcohol or too thick a body. Delightfully quaffable

Bottle at home. Aroma is roasted malt, liquorice, bit burnt, dark chocolate, espresso, touch of vanilla. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and bitter. Body is medium. Iím not the worlds biggest fan of beers that are heavy on liquorice, but this has plenty of other flavours to enjoy such as dark chocolate and coffee.

Black, thick beige head. Aroma has licorice, roasted malt and coffee. Thick, creamy mouthfeel. Raw licorice flavour, roasted malt and notes of coffee and dark chocolate. Slightly sticky with well balanced bitterness. Very good considering the moderate ABV.
