Pours an ebony, totally opauqe. Head is a gorgeous tan color and is seeminglyt lasting for an eternity. The aroma, oh the aroma...Rich and roasted, some black strap molasses and a slight nuttiness. Maybe a touch of winter spice shining through the darkness. The flavor is warming and roasted and last forever. WOW. An almost creamy mouthfeel.

Sep 7, 2008 pour is dark black with one finger an head. aroma is that of strong gas station coffee. taste is a lot of coffee and chocolate, some toffee and caramel. very good drinkable stout.

Sep 6, 2008 A dark dark stout with a thin moka head, and big chunks at the bottom. A nice bitter chocolate malt, cream, light hops, figs, and dried fruits. In mouth, a good moka chocolate, cold coffee, roasted bitterness, a bit of burned notes. A good pleasing stout.

Sep 5, 2008 Bottle; batch 7648. Pours black with a creamy tan head that settles to a light layer & ring and left behind good lacing. Aromas of milk chocolate, coffee, and a slight roast. The flavor is much the same but with the roast standing out much more. Full body, smooth, and a coffee and roast aftertaste. Very nice Stout!!

Sep 5, 2008 Pours a dark brown with a half finger beige head. Smells are roasted malt, dark chocolate, toffee, caramel. Flavor is sweet roasted malt and hops up front with a burnt coffee and bitter dark chocolate finish. Seemed a little thin for a stout, almost the consistency of a porter. Great beer nonetheless.
