This is a full-bodied stout with plenty of roast flavor as well as hints of molasses and chocolate. Ridiculous amounts of black and caramel malts make this stout smooth, creamy, and utterly opaque.

Solid overall stout with everything you’d expect, both in malt and body. Nothing spectacular in comparison to others, but nonetheless right where it should be. As good to style as any.

Btl 2013 pours extremely dark brown almost black color.Thick creamy tan head that lingers leaving sheets of lace on glass. Aromas of roasted grain, toast, smoke, wood, resin, molasses and black licorice. Tastes of sweet toffee, bakers chocolate, ash, latte and licorice. Full body, velvety mouthfeel, average carbonation and a dry toasty bitter finish. Smooth yet bold flavors combined with a perfect mouthfeel make this stout stand out as one of the best!

Bottle, thanks Shawn. Black with tan head. Meaty aroma, roasty with molasses. Roasty taste with molasses. A bit thin and bitter. I was expecting better

pours unclear extremely dark brown with a very nice light beige head, some retention and lacing. roasted coffee beans - maybe overly roasted, obvious licorice and resin, bitter chocolate, ashes, dry molasses, some boiled roasted veggies though. low carbonation, medium to full body - oily and thick, dry, bittering harsh piney-ashy finish. a let-down for me.

Bottle. Pours a deep black with brown head. Aroma is dark roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, vanilla and licorice. Taste has sweet chocolate with roaste bitterness. Light bodied for such an intense regular stout. Could be more cohesive, good stuff.

Bottle pour. The nose is toffee and cocoa with a sniff of drip coffee. Perfectly carbonated with a smooth mouthfeel. The liquorice back end dances with your tastebuds and gives this an extra element that elevates the beer to another level. Fantastic.

Pours black with a thin tan head that leaves some fair lacing in the glass. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, and toffee. Taste is full of dark chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt. It has a bitter sweetness on the back end. Once again, Bells does not disappoint.
