Gusler (2656), Tucson, Arizona, USA Oct 24, 2002 The pour ’Darker than The inside Of A Cow’, the head extravagant, large olde frothy ’Thang’, long lasting, chocolate brown in color, the lace in voluptuous sheets. Nose, coffee, bitter-sweet chocolate, roasted malt, ah yes my friends one ’Sniffable Beer’. Front malt, sweet, the top portly, the finish is benignly acidic, stupendously hopped, lordly dry. It’s a good thing that I have to beg borrow and steal these beers, as my total would be much less as why sample the rest, when you can have the best. #10 of their beers sampled, not a ’loser in the bunch’. Trust the olde spavined ’Gusler’, when I tell you this line of beers is phenomenal. Ranks a well deserved #66 on my current 1000 beer master list.

Pours impressively black with a small, creamy, staying, brown head. Sweet aroma, lots of chocolate and coffee. Low carbonation, wonderful, creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is impeccably elegant. Sweet, light dryness, coffee, cocoa. Stunningly balanced and only 6 %. Great. lightning9191 (73), Christiansburg, Virginia, USA Sep 28, 2008 Pours jet black with a tan head. The aroma is big coffee. The flavor is largely coffee, with some background chocolate notes. It has a heavy body with low-medium carbonation. This a delicious stout! It is like espresso beer. chimp_lechamp (372), freehold, New Jersey, USA Sep 28, 2008 tap at dos segundos- pours black withf rothy foamy head. nose is light taste is roasty burnt toast, burnt coffee, so roasted. maybe a bit one sided. it is probably the roastedest beer i’ve ever had. it is bitter from the roast. it is a strong taste. dont know if paired well with the nachos either. dogfish120love (76), west hartford, Connecticut, USA Sep 28, 2008 Pours black with a dark mocha colored head. Smells of Chocolate, cofee and alchohol. Tastes of rich chocolate, cofee, and alcohol. The flavors blend nicely. I went into this thinking it was an imperial stout, but when i started to smell it i realized it was just a stout. I definety could taste alcohol even though it dosn’t have a ahigh ABV. nqualls (414), Tennessee, USA Sep 27, 2008 Bottle. Poured a dark brown/black with a three finger brown head. Aroma of roasted malt. Flavor is roasted malt, bitter coffee, slight caramel note and chocolate. Medium/full bodied with soft carbonation and a slightly disappointing mouthfeel. A little thin.
