This is a full-bodied stout with plenty of roast flavor as well as hints of molasses and chocolate. Ridiculous amounts of black and caramel malts make this stout smooth, creamy, and utterly opaque.

Bottle. Pours a deep black with a medium tan head. Rich, malty, coffee-forward aroma. The flavor is more nuanced - coffee also comes through, but with roast flavors, dark fruits, chocolate, and a touch of bourbon on the finish. Smooth mouthfeel. An excellent stout.

Mörk nästan svart. Lakrits och rostad malt i doft. Smaken är lättare än vad trodde med lite choklad och lakrits. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Black color with tan head. Aroma has really nice chocolate, fudge and coffee with some roasted malts on top. Taste follows with chocolate, roasted coffee and dark malts. Body is full and has a really smooth mouthfeel. Overall it’s a really tasty, smooth stout, especially for its ABV.

It’s pretty easy to see why Kalamazoo Stout has become the beer that it has. It pours totally black with a rocky, creamy head. Lots of lacing as the beer level goes down. Coffee, licorice, and charred malt aromas - definitely rich. Chocolate, toasted cream, and bitter, darkened chocolate flavors. This is a thick, hearty brew for sure. Even at the relatively modest 6%, it’s a sipper. Delicious. Gorgeous. Classic.

Bottle from saveur-biere.com. Dark color. Thin white beige head. Medium bitterness, low sweetness. Medium thin body. Aroma is coffee, nutty, chocolate, hops, coffee, liquorice, cacao. This is pretty good but I was expecting even better.
