COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As refreshingly crisp as a morning swim in a Great Lake, this brew is crafted with Pils and Munich malts. The pronounced hop character of this golden lager sparks thoughts of sandy beaches and rocky islands.

Clear yellow pour with a small white head. Great dough and crisp caramel malt lead to grainy hints, and a bready nectar finish. Light to medium body with a crisp clean finish.

Bottle from RFDs in DC. Clear gold pour. Sweet pale malt aroma. Tastes are light malt, caramel, honey, toast and slight floral hops. Crisp thin palate. Decent enough.

Not bad, I think it is one of the better lagers made by the large-micro’s. It has a bit of hops, not much, pale color, better than Sam Adams IMO.

Garbage. If you want something that tastes like this you wouldnt spend the money on this unless youre an idiot. Craft breweries should not make a beer like this. Very light hops make it slightly better then macro swill water.

UPDATED: DEC 19, 2011 Bell’s usually has some good junk. "Lager of the Lakes" hey? What lake did you get the water from, Lake Erie? At least filter it once, please! This junk is junk, I’m afraid. I poured this out of a bottle and the 1st thing I noticed was a metallic twang underlain by skunk. Did I drink the whole thing? Absolutely. I paid for it, now I will suffer for it. So when you’re out shopping around for a good drunk, stick with Blatz, and you’ll thank me for it. This stuff would make a good paint remover or local anesthetic.

Bottle. Pours a clear yellow with fizzy white head. Aroma of faint vegitable, grain and nice grassy hop. Flavor is of grain, earthy hop, light malt. Light body, high carbonation. Good stuff.
