COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nicely balanced, Bell’s Lager Beer focuses on the flavors developed in the brew house, matching a crisp bitterness & distinctive herbal hop aromas to a simple yet firm malt backbone. Following in the tradition of Bohemian-style pilsners, this beer spends a full six weeks maturing in the fermentation vessels. This extended conditioning period refines the overall flavor, highlighting the contributions of the malts & hops.

Clear, bright yella. Fluffy white head on pour. Standard longneck, pretty good label. Mine was masquerading as "Lager of the Lakes". Standard, malty lager aroma, lightly sweet. Good, nice quality, and good balance. Bitterness really builds towards the end, and there’s a mouthy, satisfying body with just a little implied minerality. A quality brew, but not ostentatious or pretentious. ABC Liquors, Bull Run.

Flaska från Mikkeller webshop. Smak och doft av humle, citrus, honung, örter, gräs, bröd och hö. Mjuk, rund och len, fin sötma och god beska. En bra stabil sommarlager.

From the bottle the pour is light straw in color with a bright white head that lingures and is crystal clear. The aroma is yeasty and notes of white bread. The taste is a lager but not getting any distinct notes other than a solid lager flavor. The mouthfeel is this and the finish is crisp.

Tap at Bell’s. Clear golden with white head. Lots of sweet pils malts with grain husks, grassy hops and light herbs. Almost medium bitter and light sweet. Medium bodied with a bit crisp feel. Good German style basic lager.

Bottle. It pours a clear yellow color with a disappearing white head. The aroma is grainy without much else going on. The flavor is lightly grainy and a little floral/spicy noble type hops. Hints of soap. It has a grainy/floral finish. Pretty nice as a premium lager. Mostly clean, but the soapy notes keep me from rating it higher.

Pours a crystal clear golden color. About one finger white foamy head. Good retention, good lacing. Pretty good carbonation.

Aroma is biscuuty malt, light lemon, light butter, and old closet. Smells pretty good, it has some character.

Taste is hop forward, but not bitter. The hops reall y domstand out. It’s grassy hops, pepper, light toasted malts. It’s very clean.

Mouthfeel is medium light bodied. It’s very clean, very crisp and dry. It’s leans bitter.

Overall, it’s pretty good. My glass here has all kinds of lacing on it. The hops are the star, maybe slightly overdone. But it’s a fine beer. I recommend it, I would probably buy it again.

Bottle - Pours pale straw..white head. Smell is buttery, like butterscotch or a buttery biscuit. Flavors of hay, cereal, and mild herbal presence. Smooth bitter in the after. For the style.... best premium lager I’ve had.

12oz bottle. Pours a bright clear gold with streamers of bubbles coming from the bottom of the glass. Aroma is bright European hops and light toasty malts. Clean easy flavors with a sharp bitterness. Good and clean.
