Nicely balanced, Bellís Lager Beer focuses on the flavors developed in the brew house, matching a crisp bitterness & distinctive herbal hop aromas to a simple yet firm malt backbone. Following in the tradition of Bohemian-style pilsners, this beer spends a full six weeks maturing in the fermentation vessels. This extended conditioning period refines the overall flavor, highlighting the contributions of the malts & hops.

Clear bright golden with a thin foamy white head. Crisp and blonde grainy nose with just a hint of biscuit. Crisp and quaffable body with the same tones from the aroma--light biscuit, a clean golden malt body, light breadiness and just a whisper of grassy hops. Very clean but a bit basic.

Bellís Lager has a thick, white head, a hazy, straw appearance, some lazy bubble streams, and splotches of lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of subdued sweet & light malt, and the flavor is of sweet, white bread, pale malts, and low-to-moderate, somewhat grassy hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Bellís Lager finishes crisp and easy drinking. RJT

Bottle. Grainy malt aroma with grassy hop notes as well as some straw esters. Pours pale golden colored with one finger of white head excellent retention but no lacing. Starts with grainy and straw malt flavors. Finishes smooth, crisp and clean with grassy hop flavors and a bit of a dry ending. Excellent, refreshing lager.

Bellís Lager (of the Lakes) drinks like an Americanized German Pils but with more hop bitterness... if that makes any goddamn sense? Yeah, Iíll stick with that. Pale color and white suds. Starchy cereal grain aromatics and starting impression on the tongue. Bitter grassy hops in the finish. Definitely refreshing and easygoing.
