Nicely balanced, Bell’s Lager Beer focuses on the flavors developed in the brew house, matching a crisp bitterness & distinctive herbal hop aromas to a simple yet firm malt backbone. Following in the tradition of Bohemian-style pilsners, this beer spends a full six weeks maturing in the fermentation vessels. This extended conditioning period refines the overall flavor, highlighting the contributions of the malts & hops.

Pours clear, pale, white gold with brief white head. Somewhat aromatic. Flavorful, fresh, clean. Sets a higher standard over the typical US "lager". Starts yeasty and finishes smooth with subtle hops notes. Bell?s does nice work.

On tap at barcade, had this a couple times before but never rated it. Probably because it’s a straight forward lager with slightly more flavor and less gmo corn syrup than the macro producers of the style. Hazy gold appearance with small white head. Notes of hay, corn, malt, light hop and rustic grains. I like where the alcohol percentage is also.

From a 12 oz bottle enjoyed on a hot day at the beach. Pours gold with a thick white head. Some lemon notes in the nose. Flavors of white bread. Okay for the style.

Bottle. Gold with a soapy head. Toast, wheat, and lemon aroma. Taste adds grassy pilsner malt. Super clean, crisp, and light. Good stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is very clean lager, very little hop aroma. Almost clear, very light color. Taste like a very clean German lager/helles. Good overall.

It’s more drinkable than it is quaffable, and substantially palatable. Solid malt profile is skilled. Grassy-noble hops are sexilicious creating the citrus fruit and hay effect. I would swear I’m drinking a very well made American lager with nothing to apologize for. Oh, honey. 16 oz clearly calls for a 20-22 oz serving.

Hazy straw/gold color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of malt, cereal, & light hops; Flavor of slight sweet malt, hops, and grain: Crisp smooth finish; Better than average - pretty decent.
