lemoney scent makes hops a surprize; not too hoppy though. Nice texture, looks great like a beer should. Enjoyable drink.

Great citrus aroma and flavor, with plenty of hop to keep it from being too sweet. This sort of reminds me of a scaled-back Cisco Summer of Lager. Nice beer! Thanks to PsychProf for this one!

UPDATED: DEC 21, 2006 2003 draught. Good strong sour yeast/saaz hops aroma. Very light and filtered appearance :(
Taste is very dry and medium bitter. Has a slightly lemon biscuit appeal of hops that is most apparent right away. Taste does not get terribly watery, just sort of dissipates as it finishes. A decent lager, but much better stuff available from Kalamazoo.
2003 bottle consumed Jan 04. It had sediment, much better looking appearance. A good clean yeasty/hoppy flavor. Better than on tap at the brewery. Who would have thought. . .
2006 bottle "lager of the lakes"
Unfortunately bells decided to filter this one huh? Starkly clear, with nothing on the bottom and it really shows in texture. Somewhat washed out, especially on the end, with a papery-like quality. Head formation and retention are less than usual from Bells, as a result. Still, other than this issue, it’s damned fine stuff. Tangerine, peach and nectarine definitely make me wonder how they got such a delicious hop nose and flavor. Snappy bitterness, some light yeast minerals and plenty of succulent pils malt honey notes. Delicious and very drinkable
2006 draught at Slow’s bbq on 11/5/06.
Better on draught as far as texture is concerned, but with poor head formation/retention. Hop aromatics are more dry, grassy and herbal, without as much fruitiness. Still crisp and refreshingly bitter in flavor, with delicate pils malt-like notes. Really fine stuff.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Golden yellow color with a thin, big bubble head and a dusty grain nose. Grainy malt flavors with a harsh tang in the finish that is too sweet to be lemon. I suppose its not bad, but I never have to have it again.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
On tap at Brewery: Straw hue with very little head. Grain, citrus, and vanilla aroma. Hoppy initial taste, tart and citrusy. Smooth, yet not completely balanced. Strange feel on the palate, metallic but also buttery. It an okay session beer which is no better on tap than bottle, would recommend something else from Bell's if available.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Lightly cloudy, smallish head. Intensive aroma of garden after rain, fresh good malt and green hops. Same goes to flavour. Rich hopy that blends so nicely with malty backbone. Specific signature taste this beer have. Great pils unusually made but that did not hurt it helped in this case.
