COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nicely balanced, Bell’s Lager Beer focuses on the flavors developed in the brew house, matching a crisp bitterness & distinctive herbal hop aromas to a simple yet firm malt backbone. Following in the tradition of Bohemian-style pilsners, this beer spends a full six weeks maturing in the fermentation vessels. This extended conditioning period refines the overall flavor, highlighting the contributions of the malts & hops.

Picked up a sixer at Binny’s, Buffalo Grove, IL. Taste is average, grass, hay. Aroma is kinda weak. I thought a product of Bells would be better

Pours a clear golden yellow on tap with thin white head that dissipates to leave good lace. Aroma of light malts and crisp yeast esters. Taste follows, clean and easy, a hint of earthy hops. Light and simple, what you expect.

10/2/15. TGIF. 12oz bottle, sixer, from Five Points. How on earth had I never rated this? Nice clear golden pour with a nice, fluffy off-white head that sticks and laces plenty. I’m kind of surprised actually. Enjoyed from a nice footed Pilsner glass because I was feeling fancy, I guess. Anyway, good aroma, crisp, light grassy aspects, a hint of a corn touch, doughy. Good flavor, crisp, doughy, pale malts, grassy, light malt sweetness and a surprising hop bitterness lingers. This is good stuff and hitting the spot with some local pizza!

Pours a dull amber to straw color with a medium foamy white head. Some faint aroma of hops and grain. Fairly smooth with a citrus peel flavor that isn’t too harsh nor bitter but not really enjoyable. Overall it was kind of Blah.

Was looking forward to this as an offering from Bells but was curiously disappointed. A little salinity at the end is the only spark I get from this
