COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As refreshingly crisp as a morning swim in a Great Lake, this brew is crafted with Pils and Munich malts. The pronounced hop character of this golden lager sparks thoughts of sandy beaches and rocky islands.

12oz bottle-pours a thin retaining creamy white head and yellow color. Aroma is sweet grain/malt, funky, grass. Taste is right in line with aroma and caramel, light spicy-(halletaur and saaz?) hops. [Alright, their description only says Saaz] Light medium body. Good sessionable beer. OK carbonation.

Bottle as "Lager of the Lakes" from Vintage Cellar. Brassy gold color with a slight white head. Aroma is rather bready, and I don’t get hop. Thin to medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is bitter over some light pale malt. Somewhat grassy bitter with a little spice in the end. Good lager.

A: The pour is a clear straw color with a short lived white head that’s about a finger and a half tall. S: Lots of toasted, almost burnt, grain and malt. Definitely some corn aroma, maybe a bit of grass and straw. Maybe a little bit of bread in there, too. T: Surprisingly bitter with a fair amount of pine, maybe a little bit of skunk. Corn, which provides some sweetness, and there’s a definite grainy character to it as well. Pretty simple flavor profile here. M: The body is light to medium with a moderate carbonation and a lingering bitterness and/or astringency. D: A pretty rare miss from Bells, at least in terms of their regular lineup.

Draft at brewpub Cafe. Poured clear amber with an average fizzy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate sweet malt and sour citrus aroma. Medium body with lively carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable beer.

It is what it is. A pretty decent lager, but not too exciting. Keg was new, so very lively. Malts, pepper, bitter start to finish. Clean, crisp and simple.

Tap @ Bells. Clear, golden appearance with a small, off white head. Slight citrusy, grassy hoppy, crisp golden malty aroma. Golden, pale malty flavor with hints of fruits, straw, and grass.
