lemoney scent makes hops a surprize; not too hoppy though. Nice texture, looks great like a beer should. Enjoyable drink.

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2011 Bells Lager. Medium gold, quite a bit of fizz apparent, but a nice lasting white head. Big aroma of spicy floral hops. Flavor has a good element of grain, combined with a big dose of hay and a huge hoppy floral finish. This is really nice. RERATE: 8/13/11 - draft at CAH downtown. The floral hops have given way somewhat, replaced by a more grainy malt focus. Still nice, but not as much of a star as it used to be.

Solid lager from Bell’s. Pours golden with a bubbly, white head. Aroma is grassy, pungent with strong hops characteristics. Taste is robust, yet very smooth. Malt and hops tones, somewhat bitter. Dry finish. Smooth on the palate. Overall good stuff from Bell’s. They have a solid lineup from top to bottom

A great, clean and crisp lager. Slight hop notes in the aroma and flavor. Grainy, clean and simple. Hilarious that some people expect these types of beers to be as flavorful, complex and over-the-top as Two Hearted or Expedition. I’ll drink this beer any time!

Bottle. Pours a clear, straw with a medium sized, white, creamy head. The aroma is bread, grassy saaz hops and lemon. The flavor is herbal, lightly sweet bready malts, grass and a touch soapy. Medium/light body, never thin, but still light and very crisp.

UPDATED: NOV 30, 2006 bottle batch 7613. Thanks to Vyvvy for picking up this one. This was one of Keith’s old ratings, so when this came out, i made a point to get a new bottle of this new batch. Pours golden yellow with a small wispy white head with lots of carbonation. grainy and sweet nose with some light funk in there as well-good yeast twang. Lightly grassy and light sulfer as well. Wow, flavors are pretty nice-lots of husky notes, spicy hops, and lots of lager yeast twang, which i really dig in this one. Palate is full for the style and compliments with nice soft carbonation. I think this has a great mouthfeal. finish has lots of sweet malts, lingering yeast twang, spicy hops, and grainy malt notes. Very tasty and this one got a boosted rating.

Hmm.. can’t believe I’ve never rated this. Well, I’m glad I picked up a six of "Lager of the Lakes." I forgot how refreshing a pilsener could be. Nice. Really crisp and clean. Some malt flavors. Not really bitter. Good head that quickly dies down. Can go through these fast though, which I think for tonight is good. Nice to have a good drinking beer. This is it.

A standard but tasty lager - slightly buttery aroma - very smooth and moderately malty through the middle, back ended by noble hop bitterness - gets a little peppery and grassy in the finish - a solid beer.
