Nothing special here... except the odd slightly doughy aroma. Could be almost any big label lager.
1.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Pipper (325) - Ohio, USA - JUN 14, 2009
My last sample at Bell’s Fest in OH. Looks like natty light and tastes about the same with a bit more hoppy bitterness. Uninteresting, a low point in the Bells profile.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 Sudennorthstar (17) - Michigan, USA - JUL 31, 2009
This beer was, for me, was a bit too hoppy. Perhaps I was expecting something else, but this beer was tough to finish. Normally, Bell’s brewery is spot-on but the flavor was sub par and although the finish was OK, it didn’t make up for the hard taste. Normally, I like pilsners a great deal, but this was a swing and miss.

I guess if I’m gonna choke down a lager/pilsner - it should be Bell’s. Piss yellow pour, thin head. Stale bread in the nose warming to a urine biscuit odeur. This palate. Light sweet taste. There is actually a small bite of hops at the end, which is this beer’s only saving grace. And that it’s made by bell’s.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 halfonit (972) - Fall River, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 4, 2010
Pours a very light and pale golden color with a thick white head. Aroma is of dusty malts and corn. Flavor is pretty much the same with a slight skunk taste. Leaves a nasty malt finish. Unimpressive.

The bee that taught me that i hated lagers. is of a relatively thick taste. very woody bitter aftertaste, while drinking it, tastes very bland. I vow to never buy this bells again. buy it under the name Lager of the Lakes.
1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 fredandboboflo (1570) - East Setauket, New York, USA - FEB 6, 2010
Bottle. Aroma of sugary, pale malts, maybe corn or at least some similar sort of vegetable. Flavor sweet and bland, maybe a hint of bready malt. I really can’t find anything to like about this, and I love pilseners. This tastes a lot more like a macro to me than other craft pils I can recall. I guess it’s a good thing it says Bells on the label. I’ll take a Stella though myself.
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 JonR888710 (999) - Cochabamba, BOLIVIA - OCT 4, 2007
Golden clear brass body, with lots of rising bubbles into a thin cotton head. Smells of lager hops, strong piss, wet horse blanket, not aromatic in the slightest. Creamy texture. Lots of biscuity yeast, bready, and dank. Just way too unbalanced. This is the first Bell’s beer I haven’t liked, it was really terrible.

Looks, smells, and tastes like Bud Lite. Why pay extra for something you can pick up at your local gas station.
