3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
tap blue dust. Pour is golden amber with a frothy off white head. Nose has a nice grain up front, lightly toasted bread with good malt depth. golden fruits bright behind, nice apricot and lemon notes. Taste has more grain, light spice to it, bread lingers a touch on the lemon and golden fruits and raisins. Body is light, airy, well carbonated, crisp and dry.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft sample. Pale amber in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of fruity lager yeast, wet stones, and a bit of bready malt. More of that odd fruit and mineral combo in the mouth, along with a touch of toast. Long fruity finish. Not a fan of this one.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a light amber. Aroma is fairly muted. Flavor is also very subtle with some grassy notes and minor hop flavors. Not as yeasty as I expected but a good session beer.

I had this at Global Brew. Nice light Carmel flavor. Thought this was good. I would drink this again.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Plastic taster on tap at Party Town. Tried the 3 in the series in a row, this was the second I tried. Amber color. Good light khaki foamy head. Good lace. Nice balance. Medium-plus body. Kind of a creamy, light carbonation. Lightly dry in the finish. Nutty malt, light beery-trype fruitiness to it. Light toasty malt, hint of spice. Solid biere de garde.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft on tap at World of Beer (Naperville, IL). Pours a deeper copper amber hue, darker middle, fall sunset glow on the egdes show some life. A frothy tannish head dies to a good layer, laces well. Gentle haziness. Aromas are a bit sweet, some sticky caramel, gentle apple, and carmelized toasty vibe. A bit sticky, touch of sweet dough, gentle honeycrisp, and bready and biscuity malts. Touches of mellow tart fruit, inviting sweeter mellow feel. Initial is a medium bodied, touches of toast, carmelized malt and a bit biscuity. More dry and toasty malt, some gentle dryness, faint yeastiness. Less thick than anticipated, the touches of faint dried fruit into the middle, bit of caramel, carmelized malts stick. Faint darker bland sweetness. The backend shows more dryness, a bit of tangy tartness that sustains through that messy malt feel up front. Finish is a bit moore toasty, dry, and light tartness. Overall, it’s an interesting beer. A bit too sweet on the nose for me. The beer itself doesn’t get to the level the nose did. Ok. Gave it about the same score as Contre.. But I probably preferred the smoke in that one.

On tap at Bell's 3/31/13. Little aroma. Light orange pour. Oily mouthfeel. I like the nut brown better.
