COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The second in the series, Le Pianiste starts as a malt forward beer, combining biscuity, breadcrust notes with a light caramel flavor. Noticeably dry, the finish is crisp with a lively, refreshing acidity.

I haven’t had a lot of bier de garde’s... But this is quite easily the best one. Very nice fresh red berries on the nose. Malty and sweet up front with a nice tangy fruity finish. Dry and refreshing.

This one poured a light amber color with a white head. Aroma was of caramel, metal, dust, and grass. Flavor was similar, light rustic character and apple notes, but mainly caramel and grainy.

Tap at Beer Study, part of the Bells tap takeover. Pours a light orange with a small off white head. Nose is biscuity, light caramel, spice. Fairly dry mouthfeel, light caramel malt, and bready flavors.

Draft at Beer Exchange, Bell’s tap takeover. Pours a cloudy amber. Taste is sour malt, bread, corn. A bit bland. Not my fave.

Pours a soft and cloudy amber gold with one finger of off white head. Nose is bready and malty with some toasted grain. Light sweetness and earthy character. Earthy bready character with toasted grainy notes. Medium body.

Draft at World of Beer, Ann Arbor. Pours a copper/amber color with a bubbly but thick white head that lingers nicely. Aroma has a light must to it. Very yeasty with some biscuits, red fruit, and Belgian-type spices. Taste is odd. The red fruit, yeast and spices don’t seem to blend well together. Light acidic finish. Bubbly carbonation. Not bad but not my kinda beer.

Pour on tap at APN 2013, clear orange pour with thin white head, aroma brought biscuit, bread and lots of spice notes, hints of grain, slight red fruits, touch of yeasty qualities in there as well. Taste is a mix of lots of yeast, spice, hints of red fruits mixing into a touch of red fruits, slight caramel, more bready notes, finishing sweet.

Draft at Blue monk. hazy orange Amber pour worth a thick off white head. Nose is sweet, some malt. Nothing stands out too much. Taste is big on yeast and mild malt. The finish is medium long and earthy. Some gentle bitter hop in there too, but nothing too crazy.

Draft at Blue Monk, orange medium bodies pour fruity yeastiness, light st Joseph’s aspirin, nothing screaming Belgian/ bierede garde here. Pleasant to drink but far from mind blowing
