Draft at brewpub Cafe. One of the reasons I like to go to brewpubs is to test new offerings, this is one. Poured hazy copper color with an average fizzy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate complex sour citrus aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Light bitter flavor with a light smooth bitter finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable beer.

Three brews at Bell’s, differentiated only by the hops. They tasted completely different. This one had a nice balance with a crisp hop flavor, lots of yeast.

Draft sampler at the Eccentric, 12/2/06. The premise here is that they’re making a series of pale ales named for U.P. towns. This one’s blond in color, with a light malty nose. A ring of foam in the taster. Good malts at the start, then nicely hopped. A bit of yeast shows that it’s unfiltered, but it still looks nice and clear.

Sampler @ Bell’s Eccentric Cafe: Pours a clearish yellow color, little head, white, lasting. Very wheaty aroma, malt. Very malty, nutty, dusty, almost acidic, some hoppy. Fizzy, creamy mouthfeel.
