Draft sample at EC. Poured hazy dark copper brown color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate toffee and toasted malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Soft drinkable beer.

Draft. Light toffee malt aroma. Amber with small head. Mildly sweet toffee malt and hay flavor. Very nice - could easily session with this.

TheAlum (5701) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - SEP 23, 2013
Draft on tap at the Eccentric Cafe (Kalamazoo, MI). Pours a deeper brownish copper pour, healthy orange amber glow in the body with a frothy offwhite head atop. Good lacing, decent ring head sits around and laces better than expected. Pretty beer. Aromas present some bready and biscuity malts, soft chestnut, toast, and mellow grain. A faint waft of rye, toastiness and biscuits keep moving. Subtle earthiness, grass and gentle yeast. Initial is lighter end of the fold, some good earthy and malty flavors arenít brooding, but incorporate a bready and biscuity appeal. Gentle earthiness, grassy hops and mellow yeast. Middle shows some gentle pretzel, some bread, a decent dose of carbonation hits the palate. Some earth, dryness as we start to move on. Earthy, bready, fairly clean. The darker malt slant gives some flavor, without making it hard to drink. Quite crushable, not complex but at itís 3.some percent ABV, I like what itís offering. Nice.

Draft to taster at the Eccentric Cafe. Looks solid; a completely transparent orange with off-white lacing. Smells of mild malt. Tastes like it smells with a touch of roast. Average on the palate. Not bad for what it is.

Om tap at the Eccentric Cafe. Served in a pint glass. Pour is a light copper color with a thin white head. Bit of lacing on the way down. The nose is fairly light with a hit of earthy malt and some mild floral-ish hops. Flavor is a bit kalty with a very mild roast presence and some bread. Earthy hops in the background. Light body with good carbonation and a lingering bitterness. Could use a bit kore body with the light flavor profile. Nothing special, but pretty decent. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 04-29-2011

Tap @ Eccentric Cafe. Clear amber color, off-white head. Aroma of biscuit malts, and some hops. Flavour of biscuit malts, hint of cheese?

On tap at the Eccentric Cafť. Amber with next to no head. Very light nose with some toasted malt and light hops on it. Mild tasting concoction that has some sweet malts, light caramel and a touch of rye before ending with the mildest of hop finishes. There’s not much too this one.

On tap at Bellís... Medium clear copper, light head, dark for a mild, not much to look at... Nose is totally dead, a bit of toffee, thatís it... tastes terrible, skunky, terrible bitter finish. Not even worth describing... Skip this

Hazy amber body with a medium sized beige head. The nose is quite nice, lots of bread dough/fresh biscuits, plenty of fresh herbal hops, a touch of citrus. Taste is fairly dry, lightly bitter; cookie dough malts, toffee, herbal and floral hops. Medium/light body is round with moderate carbonation. My only complaint is that the malt tasted just a touch stale. Still, solid stuff.
