Maroon pour with whispy offwhite foam on top, looks like dark cranberry juice. Light carbonation, chalky mouthfeel, tingly crisp finish. Nose is light tangy and funky cranberry/cherry, perhaps raspberry too but its hard to distinguish its so light. Bold cherry, sour bretty and lemon in the taste. Good rendition, crisp and refreshing.

On tap at bells, definitely some cherry notes. Not my favorite style but this ones pretty good!

tectactoe (2156) - Michigan, USA - OCT 6, 2013
UPDATED: DEC 11, 2013 Tap: murky copper, dingy all around with a gray-tinted, white-ish head that settles to a thick collar rather quickly. Aroma is deep, deep, hidden sour cherry notes and a faint touch of lemon in the back. Not much else aside from the deep pitted cherry. Light, faint, very relaxed. Taste is full of light cherry, actually a bit more sweet than sour. There’s a light, soft tartness mid-palate with some mild wheat and grain to go along. Very slight chalky aftertaste with more cherry in the finish. Very nice beer, but I was expecting a little more tartness.

Pailhead (5025) - Brownstown, Michigan, USA - OCT 6, 2013
On tap: The aroma consists of tart cherry, bourbon, lightly sweet cherry, vanilla, and a hint of oak. It’s a mostly transparent amber with a touch of haze. It has a small white head that leaves some decent webbing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of sweet and tart cherries. The finish has light-moderate bourbon with some faint oak and vanilla. It’s light-medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Overall, there’s more bourbon here than I was expecting.
