COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Designed as a flavorful session beer, Oarsman Ale uses a classic German brewing technique to impart a light, refreshing tartness. Oarsman Ale grew out of a desire to explore the tradition of session beers, trading intensity for finesse while still creating a worthwhile experience for the taster. The grain bill includes a healthy portion of wheat, while light hopping lend citrus & herbal notes to the aroma. Fermented with Bellís house ale yeast, Oarsman comes in at 4.0% alcohol by volume. Rather than being the dominant flavor note, the tartness in Oarsman takes on more of a palate-cleansing role, making it perfect with meals or purely on its own.

Wheat sort of body, full feel for the style, light, dry with a touch of German hops making it metallic. Nose is spicy, with cloves and pepper. Appearance is very clear and pale. Decent.

Pale straw in color white head quickly lost. Sour funky aroma of I donít know what. Some hoppiness maybe a hint of lemon. Crisp and sour some off flavors. Not to impressed with this beer or style. In my opinion not a very good product from the people at Bellís. Maybe they donít like this style either.

Wheaty peachy tart ish aroma. Flavor is very slight tart with a bit of fruit ish taste (peach). Low carbonation. Cheap beer finish. Not a terrible Berliner, but not a good Berliner either. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle in Florida. Terrific aroma of lemon, grass, and wheat. Tart flavor but mellows over time. Great summer sour ale. Would be great on a boat

Bottle from Sam! Thanks. Snifter at home. Pours a clear yellow-gold with small head. No lacing. Aroma is cereal, lemon, wheat field. The taste is crisp with cereal (Cheerios), lemon, slight coriander, and a slight funk. Very refreshing, clean, crisp. Light body, moderate carbonation. Great on a hot day.
