3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: OCT 29, 2013 Cloudy and murky straw-yellow color with a wispy white and fading head. Light aroma, like many Berliners, with mild lemon tartness, apple skins, heavy grains, and a "dirty", damp mustiness that cascades over everything. Crisp and refreshing flavor with mild tartness; apple skins, white grapes, lemon zest. More wet hay flavors and musky yeast in the finish with a nice grain profile. Thin and wet with ample carbonation. Not the best example of a Berliner out there, but this is a pleasure to drink on hot summer days, about six at a time.

T: Grain, corn, hint of lacto. Easy to drink.
M: thin with moderately hi carb. Semi dry finish.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz - Good weight, glad to see a sour, but, for me, this feels like it was released at the wrong time.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Pours a slightly cloudy light wheat color. Aromas of lemon, some industrial cleaner. Taste is very watery, very bland. Not much lacto going on, nowhere near the way i like Berliners. This is pretty much @tame 7up.

Bottle: Clear yellow gold, no head. Citrusy aroma, mainly lemons. Tangy and easy to drink. Almost comes close to a sour malt finish but barely avoids it. Not bad.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a hazy pale golden color with no head to speak of and no lacing. Aroma of citrus, grain, and bit of herbs. Taste is tart with just a bit of citrus, and grain. Mild bitterness and a clean finish. Light body, tart, clean and a bit refreshing. Goes good with meals as it cleans the palate. Also is a good session beer. Not bad for the style.
