3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 JAG55 (62) - O’Fallon, Missouri, USA - MAY 9, 2011
A very nice wheat beer; Poured a 12 oz. bottle in mug; very hazy yellowish amber color with thin white head and good lacing; nice malty wheat aroma as you would expect with a touch of the herbal hops; very sweet taste all the way to the finish with a good balance of hops; excellent on the palate with good body and creamy texture; no noticable carbonation and smooth finish; not a very complex beer but certainly an excellent wheat beer, not sure it’s worth the price but it is probably as good as wheat beers get.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 TheChampion (81) - Virginia, USA - MAY 8, 2011
Pours a hazy orange with a medium white head that leaves a bit of lacing. Fruity hop aroma with mild wheat and spice notes. Well-balanced flavor, just the right amount of hops to malt to spice ratio. Very smooth body, one of the most refreshing beers you’ll find.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 mansquito (1607) - washington, Washington DC, USA - MAY 7, 2011
The Big Hunt, DC pint ($6): Pours a cloudy orange color with a white head. Aroma is of hops, spice, and fruits. Taste is on the hoppy side for a wheat ale, and that is a good thing, because it provides a good character. Plenty of spicy notes that do a good job of accentuating the hop notes. Pleasant mouthfeel and easy drinking to boot. Hey, everyone knows that this is an excellent wheat and it is.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 OmegaX (383) - Florida, USA - MAY 7, 2011
Bottle from Tapping The Vine. Bottle ---> Tulip. The pour created a nice golden wheat color like hay left in the sun. Large amounts of white head were left behind that took a while to subside. Obvious notes of wheat and herbs were present in the nose. Like primavera with a little twang. Taste is of pizza dough/wheat with a subtle dry hop flavor. Earth tones and yeast also shone through. Great beer. Bell’s never disappoints.

Aroma: Nothing--no hops, malt, anything. Could be water.
Appearance: Pale gold, cloudy, with no head.
Taste: Initial bitterness immediately swelling to a heavy sweetness.
Palate: Medium body, smothe texture, light carbonation, long creamy finish.
Overall: Very good and quite quaffable, but I’m not completely overwhelmed blown away.
