3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 Chipalsa (482) - Florida, USA - APR 28, 2011
Bottle pour into a thick highball glass. Very cloudy, light and hazy yellow with a messy, yet lovely head. Lacing isn’t anything to rave about, but only makes the beer look better. The light carbonation hides the bitterness, but the flavor of sourdough bread is there with light citrus undertones. This beer satisfied the palate, and would go EXCELLENT with some nice fresh pizza. Either that, or some sort of red sauce pasta.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 FreshHawk (596) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - APR 27, 2011
Bottle.
A - Hazed golden color with a largish, fluffy, foamy, light bubbly head. Pretty good retention leaving a thin lace.
S - Grainy wheat with a slight spicy and lemony aroma. Faint yeasty and fruitiness as well. Not bad.
T - Mostly a grainy malty flavor with a slight lemony citrus kick toward the finish. A very slight spiced flavor as well. Very smooth maltiness. Faintest hop finish with the lemony/citrus kick at the finish.
M - Very smooth and creamy body with a medium feel and a good carbonation.
D - Very easy to drink and pretty enjoyable to drink as well. Goes down so easy and is smooth. Great summer beer feel.
Notes: Batch 10252 Bottled: 3/9/11. Nice pale wheat (a style I’m not a big fan of) that is smooth and very easy to drink. Solid malt and wheat backbone with some spice, citrus, and hops to spice it up a bit. Not my favorite beer, but a nice refreshing summer beer.

Tap. Hazy light straw yellow with a purely white pillowy head. Citrus notes, Bell’s house yeast in the aroma, light hops, and dust. Nice enough hop presence, bit citrusy, earthy, dough, and ends yeasty and chalky. Lighter body, fluffy. Nice session brew...for me at least.

Easy to drink, but not mindblowing. Nice, bright yellow-orange color, slight haze mildly hoppy mouth, slightly cereal palate with a clean finish. An average Wheat.
