COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American wheat ale made with European ingredients. Belgium wheat malt and Czech Saaz hops provide a spicy, fruity balance to this seasonal ale. (Formerly known as Solsun)

UPDATED: JUN 15, 2011 Probably the most overrated beer...ever? Thin, hopless wit with almost no redeeming qualities. It’s slightly better in a fresh keg and with an orange slice, but still not worth your dime.

Nose: tart, wheat Taste: carbonated but not particularly good. Inferior to other Bell’s products.

UPDATED: APR 19, 2011 Slight citrus flavor. Pours a sunny orange/yellow with a one finger head. Not a whole lot going on here. Almost no hops it seems. This is a decent-ish session beer, but a little over priced. Overall okay, but I honestly expected a little more from Bell’s.

We just had this bottle after purchasing it a long time ago. Kind of weak taste and aroma. It would most likely be better fresher. I’m willing to try again next summer to give it another tasting.

I had an old bottle. I bought it without checking the date code, but now find that it’s about 8 months old. Oh, well. Pours cloudy orange and looks nice enough. Aroma is very faint, melon, bready, slightly fruity. Tastes the same, very thin and bland. I’ll have to get some of this fresh and re-rate.

Pours a golden wheat color with a thin white head. Almost void of any aroma, but it has a little bit of a grass, hay, floral aroma. The best thing about this beer is that it has a bit of spice to it and, it’s quite a refreshing light bodied beer. Good summer beer if you’re looking for something refreshing with a little kick.

UPDATED: MAY 21, 2011 Rerate: Had on tap, this one was indeed good, the original bottle I tasted must have been really old. This was a quality beer, it tasted very spicy and had a nice body, it was a good beer. Originial 2.2 Must have been an old bottle, purchased in florida, the beer just tasted bland, it didn’t really taste good or bad, it didn’t taste like much at all, its what I would expect from a basic ale or lager, there wasn’t any notes of wheat or yeastyness it was just a basic beer, that being said I will having a fresh bottle of this one day and will be rerating
