Nose vaguely reminds me of a belgian trippel. Very nice flavor. Very original rendition of a wheat. This brew is just great. Hard to characterize, you’ll just have to try it for yourself.

UPDATED: MAY 18, 2004 Aug 02: Slightly yeasty, fruity nose; not so much wheat, and the fruit seems to be of the soft yellow (peach-apricot) type rather than the typical lemon. Hazy yellow-golden color. Very hoppy, full-bodied, not as sweet as many wheats I've had lately; apricots seem prominent in the mix to me; this seems to be a cross between an APA and a wheat if you ask me, not entirely successful but well worth a try.
May 04: Most of what I said 2 years ago holds true, except it seems to me the aroma is more dilute, and the body is just a little too thick, and too sour at the finish. Too heavy to be refreshing, not complex enough to be really interesting. Ehh.

Cloudy Pale yellowish-gold. More spicy than fruity compared with traditional German wheats. Also noted some breadlike qualities. Medium bodied, but it is very crisp and refreshing on a hot and humid day.

Sometimes on tap you can find this to be overly yeasty, but out of a bottle, especially on a lake while sailing, it is about as fine as they come. I like the gingery tang to it quite a bit and admire any fuller bodied wheat that escapes banana pitfalls.

This is a great beer, but perhaps a bit too wheat tasting. I guess that’s the point, though, and it still tastes great.

A nice light, hazy beer. Crisp and fairly light. I’m not a huge fan of wheats, but this is pretty good.

A great wheat beer. This is definately the best local Michigan wheat microbrew. This is the beer that got me interested in wheat beers. Great brew!

Pale yellow in color, with a thin, white head that left copious lace down the side of the glass. There is a subtle wheat beer tang with hints of spice and banana. I don’t find this beer as refreshing as I like in a summer seasonal, but it is a good American wheat beer.

soft yellow brew, the color of scrambled eggs, hazy from the first pour and increasingly so as the yeast forces are marshalled. a kitten’s saucer of cream on top, with billows, blizzards and blankets of beautiful lace. pleasant and (to me) curious, unique nose: few things edible or otherwise come to mind to borrow as metaphors: it’s not woody or bready, not particularly fruity or citrusy, no spice that i can name...celery and oats maybe, but that hardly sounds flattering, some flower petals without the perfume. the palate IS obvious: very smooth, creamy, dry, quenching. not malty, not hoppy, yet medium bodied: it must be all about yeast. i’m no ’yeasthead’, but this is one worth contemplating further.
