3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 neuromatt (610) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 7, 2011
12 oz bottle from the brewery, served in a tulip. Pours hazy orange-yellow with a moderate white head. The head fades to a thin cover and leaves a small amount of fine lace. On the nose, there are notes of flowers, lemon, spice and wheat with delicate hops. The flavour is slightly sweet up front, becoming less so towards the end. There are notes of lemon, flowers, ginger, pepper and wheat, along with a touch of honey. The finish is fairly clean with just a touch of pepper and spice. On the palate, it is light-medium in body with a smooth, milky texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a great summer wheat ale. The flavour is interesting and very well balanced between malts, fruit and spice. A delightful summer quencher. 2011-09-07

When fresh, this is just a classic. Pale gold pour with a murky depth below the 2 finger white head. Uncomplicated, a typical wheat aroma with just a hint of banana. Floral hops, with the lemon zest from the Saaz.

Pours straw yellow with a nice head of white that quickly departs. Aroma is sweet, creamy malt with the lightest hint of citrus (peaches?). Thin but not gaunt in body, tastes like creamy peaches and malt with a light finish of peppery hops.

Pours a light golden color with a mild head. Nice wheat beer with a mild citrus flavor with slight hoppy notes. This is an easy drinking session beer for a hot day. I liked it so much I bought a six pack to go with some BBQ.

Bottle. Hazy peach pour with a nice frothy head. Aroma holds really solid balance between nectar fruits including peach and a touch of mango, light spicy and grassy hops, and beautiful wheat and yeast. Flavor has more of that wheat, fruit, and increased hop presence. Absolutely delightful on a beautiful late summer’s day.

12 oz bottle from Total Wine. Pours golden in colour, with nice forthy white head. Wheat gives this an interesting mouthfeel. Aroma and taste are slightly sweet and you can taste the Saaz hops. A really great beer for summer! Refreshing!

Draft at The Righteous Room. Cloudy orange/yellow color, sweet but firm malty nose, good bittersweet flavor that definitely favors the bitterness. Not quite as good as Moerlein English Summer Ale but a nice, refreshing hot weather brew that has more backbone than most.
