An American wheat ale made with European ingredients. Belgium wheat malt and Czech Saaz hops provide a spicy, fruity balance to this seasonal ale. (Formerly known as Solsun)

In a world where shock top and linenkugel are working day and night to make wheat ale the new pale lager, itís great to see a wheat beer made by a great Brewer that sets the standard a little higher. If youíve lived your beer life without trying this beer (which is crazy because it practically rains the stuff once the temperature hits 46 for the first time) you need to. It pretty much tastes like summer. Itís like the worldís best lemonade but itís beer.... And that is why you should go out and buy all of it!

Pours a cloudy golden color with a small white head and virtually no lacing. Aroma of noble hops and wheat with underlying orange tones. Taste is similar to smell with wheat and citrus being the overlying flavors. Nice crisp mouthfeel that compliments todayís warmer weather well.

From notes. On tap at Dan's on March 28The pour is a foggy golden copper-ish with a medium white head and an orange slice. The lacing is decent but the orange slice kind of takes the cake. The aroma is somewhat wheaty with a nice citrus dominance (the orange slice) and a good maltiness on the back end. The flavor is somewhat similar. There is a nice fruitiness on the front end and then it fades through a good wheaty, somewhat malty note on the way to the back end. There it a light malty hop presence, but for all the crap I've given this beer, it does appear drinkable. Granted, I've had a bit, it seems decent. The mouth feel is light, carbonation is decent, and he aftertaste is all citrus, presumably from the orange slice I've emptied into this glass to help ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours cloudy, straw, very little head. Aroma big stone fruit, apricot, peach, wheat malt, fruity esters. Flavor light, wheat malt, apricot and peach as in the aroma, definite fruity esters, enough noble hop bitterness to balance it out. Mouthfeel on the thin side, medium carbonation, crisp, refreshing, smooth, slightly sweet finish. Overall good summer what beer, one of the best I?ve had in this style, all flavors balanced, extremely drinkable .

12 oz. bottle packaged on 1/17/14 poured into weizen glass. Slightly hazy golden orange color with a sudsy white head thatís gone before you know it. No lacing to speak of, but a fair amount of carbonation rising in the glass. Aroma is yeasty esters, orange peel and a hint of pepper. Flavor is wheat up front that transitions into a citrusy middle and back to a wheaty finish, with some tanginess lurking in the background all the while. Although Iím generally not one for session-type beers, I could see myself putting away several of these without much effort.

Glad to see Oberon back on the shelves. A great wheat ale. Very wheat citrusy orange aroma. Smooth beyond comparison. A great summer light smooth ale. The wheat taste blends perfectly with the light citrusy hop character. Very summeresque. A great refreshing wheat ale to save us from this long winter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

First Oberon of the year. Always puts me in a good mood! Beautiful color, even better taste.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance had a hazy pale yellow colored body and left a one finger white head that died within thirty seconds. Some nice ringy lacing was left. Some light slow carbonation was seen rising. The smell had some moderate flavors of wheat along with notes of orange and lemon. The taste was basically the same with a slight added hops to it and a nice bit of light acceptable sourness to it. The palate was about a light with a decent amount of carbonation hitting the tongue, but in a nice and acceptable way for the style. Overall, this is a good summer beer that is quite drinkable and makes me want to move back to Michigan just so I can have it in the summers.
