Bell’s Oberon is a wheat ale fermented with Bell’s signature house ale yeast, mixing a spicy hop character with mildly fruity aromas. The addition of wheat malt lends a smooth mouthfeel, making it a classic summer beer.

Pours hazy golden color. Aroma is typical of wheat beer with touch of citrus. First taste is a little hops bite then finish clean with sweet citrus flavor. Good summer ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had it tapped in a big glass with an orange wedge, as well as poured from a bottle and drank from the bottle. Its nice and citrusy without being too lemony like other summer wheat beers. Beauty of a golden color, not a huge aroma, easy to drink.

Hazy gold under a thin foamy white head. Citrusy wheaty nose. Not much there. And the flavor is the same, kinda wheaty and bready with a kiss of citrus. Not really remarkable.

Bottle from trade, thanks Sloth! Pours champagne gold with a fine white head. Aroma is bread, yeast, honey and a touch of peppery spice. Flavor follows nose, there’s a nice wheat backbone with hints of honey sweet and clove spice. There’s just a touch of acidity as well.

Nice, easy drinking straight from the can. Juicy, a little orange rind with a crisp dry finish. Could put down more than one of these. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours deep golden with a small and quickly disappearing head. Aroma is honey, wheat and citrus. Sweet and peasant head. A little spice but mostly a very pleasant and easy to drink beer.

Pour is a hazy sunset gold with medium soapy head. Aroma is full of citrus hops, orange peel, lemon peel, earthy yeast, and wheat. There’s also a faint hint of Taste is very pleasant sweet and sour with a touch of bitterness. You definitely get that spiciness they mention in the taste, not so much the aroma. Palate is medium bodied with fizzy carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. The finish is lengthy with a spicy, sour/bitter finish. I have always enjoyed this beer and it is consistently good. Not the most complex of beers, but it definitely has a satisfying amount of flavor. Always a favorite of mine.
