Bellís Oberon is a wheat ale fermented with Bellís signature house ale yeast, mixing a spicy hop character with mildly fruity aromas. The addition of wheat malt lends a smooth mouthfeel, making it a classic summer beer.

I canít believe I havenít rated this yet. Smells of faint wheat, lemon, orange rind and has some spice in the background. Hazy orange color, not dark, but you canít see through it. Tastes like lemon zest and wheat with a clean wheat background. Not complex, not supposed to be. Excellent palate, because I want more carbonation in a beer like this and it does so without being overwhelming. Good summer beer; a good choice when you want something drinkable, not all that strong that still has a taste.

If you ever brewed beer you will know the aroma of this beer. It reminds of of being at a brewery. The appearance is slightly cloudy, but not as much as most wheat beers. Taste is a little lacking I would like a little more hops but overall all a very good beer.

Not sure how I havenít rated this yet, living in Michigan. Solid wheat that always brings nice citrus notes of orange and lemon. Iíve seen some years put out an opaque orange, others a crisp straw yellow.

29 May 2015. Draft. Cloudy, milky, pale yellow. Ring lacing. Faint grassy aroma. Nice hop bite; some spice. Otherwise rather bland.

16 ounce can.....how have I not rated this? Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A big sweet fruity nose, banana, lemons. Very smooth, fresh lemons, dry biscuit malty base. A crisp tea like focus, like dusty wheat. Really quite nice. Super smooth. I could drink 6 of these easy. Finishes hoppy and citrusy.

12 oz bottle. One of the better wheat beers around without the usual dryness or yeast residue you;d expect from this type. Give it a try.

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2015 Aroma is lite and malty, a hint of hops. Taste is lite bread, with a bit of lemon. Perhaps I should try this again on a hot day - not used to being disappointed by Bells. ( note I was coming down with a cold when I rated this. Need to re-rate)

22nd May 2015: bright sunshine on the patio but surrounded my dark thunder clouds here in California (at my daughters). 12oz bottle poured into a Corsendonk badged stemmed tulip glass. Cloudy body with an orange hue to the lemon colour, on top a snow white crown of tight bubbles. highly carbonated, like most beers in this style. Yeasty, citrusy and too cold initially. The wheat comes through very heavily in the flavours and dominated the taste. Refreshing and crisp in nature, but not really my thing. Scored objectively.
