Bell’s Oberon is a wheat ale fermented with Bell’s signature house ale yeast, mixing a spicy hop character with mildly fruity aromas. The addition of wheat malt lends a smooth mouthfeel, making it a classic summer beer.

5.8%ABV. Wheat Ale. Poured out of the bottle a light amber.  8ºSRM. Nose is beery and wheaty.  There is some fruity herbaceousness to the nose.  Some residual dusty floury aromas. Mouthfeel is watery.  There are some light toasty flavors with wheat toast coming up most prominently.     Light hop finish. Overall, a light drinking adequately put together ale

Nothing bad or special here. Pretty typical wheat ale. Heavy wheat flavor, low malt flavor and some hop in the background. Middle of the road well made wheat ale.

The aroma is pretty good, you can feel a strong floral notes, but for a wheat beer I would have expected the nice banana or cloves aromas but actually they are not in there. Regarding to the color is a blond beer with a standard white head. When is tasted is medium bodied, but the alcohol flavor prevail over the others, so there are not malt flavors or hop flavors an at the end just a earthy flavor. I seriously do not understand why everyone gave it such a high score.

Bottle from Beer Cartel 240915. You don’t see many of Bell’s beers in this part of the world so I snap them up when I can. Weighty number this one with solid colour and a head that fades. Good strong body and a fair bit or fruitiness happening.

Poured from a 16oz can into a pub glass. Packaged 5/15/15. Aroma - Bubblegum sweetness, cereal (Captain Crunch?), dare I say orange creamsicle? Appearance - Hazy, deep orange. Taste - Matches the nose completely with a balancing bitterness. Hops, in their own right, bring out bright orange-like flavors. Incredibly unique. If I were a kid again, wondering what a beer smells like, I’d assume it’d be something like this. Palate - Creamy (emphasis), medium bodied. Overall - Lives up to the hype and more. In a style that typically lacks any real oomph, and often leaves me wondering why I just didn’t have a hefeweizen instead, this one is a no-brainer.

Bottle. Light wheat nose, floral hop, grain, and a twist of citrus. Very pale straw, thin fine head. Mild wheat, gentle toasty malt note, and a touch of honey. Thin-medium body. Well-blended flavors. Pleasant stuff.
