COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American wheat ale made with European ingredients. Belgium wheat malt and Czech Saaz hops provide a spicy, fruity balance to this seasonal ale. (Formerly known as Solsun)

Sampled at The Big Pour beerfest in Scottsdale AZ. Floral perfume, spice, and wheat aroma. Really nice wheaty flavours, rounded out by spices and gentle floral citrus notes. I like that I feel that I can sink my teeth into this a little, yet it remains crisp and refreshing.

Pours cloudy gold, with a white head. Aroma is wheat, yeast, and a touch of honey. Flavor is wheat, spices, and yeast. Medium body. Refreshing.

Smells like shredded wheat cereal with a dash of hops. Dark yellow with lots of sea-monkeys and a slowly disipating white head that leaves a nice lace. The taste isn’t overly complex--wheats and subtle hoppy bitterness. Decent, but not something that stands out.

Bottle: Hazy straw color with a finger of creamy white head. Light and airy aroma is floral and faintly spicey. Tastes rich with wheat, bread, and malt. A little yeast and cloves too. Rich with the wheat, almost like wheat bread. Crisp finish. Nice.

Cloudy yellow with some citrus noes on the nose. Smooth and easy to drink, think of it as Blue Moon upgraded. Great summer lawnmower beer.

Pretty much no aroma. Appearance is golden. Kind of soapy and alcoholy tasting. Not the best.

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2011 A clean, crisp wheat beer that you love to drink in the summer. Fruity citrus followed by tangy and spicy orange flavor that finishes very slightly bitter.

Poured from bottle into water glass at work. Cloudy, burnished yellow-orange with small, but persistent head. Strong orange smell upfront with wheat and Saaz hops in the background. Unfortunately, the smell becomes muted a couple minutes after pouring. Orange flavored citrus countered by spicy (and ever so slightly bitter) Saaz hops. The wheat taste is fairly minimal. The taste of this beer is truly unique, as it seems like an orange flavored Pilsner. Moderately high carbonation. Really feels more like a Pilsner despite being a wheat ale. One of the ultimate summer beers. Easy to keep drinking on a nice warm Minnesota day.
