COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American wheat ale made with European ingredients. Belgium wheat malt and Czech Saaz hops provide a spicy, fruity balance to this seasonal ale. (Formerly known as Solsun)

Aroma is very yeasty, like a Belgian white. Appearance is perfectly golden, with a nice thick, white head that lingers. A hint of spice, with fruit and wheat. A hint of caramel as well. I’ve had a lot of wheated summer beers, and this one is my all-time favorite. Much more flavorful and full-bodied than what you typically get from this style of beer.

Opaque with nice delicate foamy head. Sweet nose and mouth feel. A delicious summer beer. Seen in 5 liter micro kegs in many places in MI now too.

Poors nice and dark orange with a light moderately frothy head. smell is a little above average with slight citrus hint and coriander. Taste is kinda like a light fluffy orange peel muffin. pretty good but why is this like bells flagship beer.

Bottle/12oz - Pours a golden amber in color with an, initially, foamy white head that settles quickly to a thin, bubbly covering over the beer. Aroma is surprisingly hoppy (spicy) for a wheat beer. Plenty of malt and some yeastiness to back those hops up. Flavor is not quite as hoppy as it smells with the malts more dominant and the beer at bit sweet Some estery fruits present with some bready yeast in the background. I wish more wheat beers had this many hops in them... I like it...

Poured golden/amber w/ a thick white head that lingered. Nice lacing, some sediment floating. Great looking beer. Sweet malt and caramel nose with some yeast, raisin, grass and citrus. Lightly carbonated, medium body, a bit of oiliness in the mouthfeel. Overall a very good wheat al. Refreshing, easy to drink with good flavor. I’m glad I grabbed a 6-pack and not a single.

Very pleasent beer, a nice golden color with a nice white head on it. Very smooth beer with a little bit of a citrus orange taste to it. Glad I was in Michigan to drink it!

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2011 Bottle @ home, courtesy of bushmat1. Thanks Matt! Pretty colorful, yellow orange appearance with a white head. Bready, lemon zesty, moderately wheat malty nose. A touch spicy, quite wheat malty, lemon, citrus fruity flavor that’s pretty refreshing. Solid wheat beer that would probably be great on a hot summer afternoon.

It pours a yellow orange collor with a white head and a little bit of sediment at the bottom. It smells of wheat, orange peel with bready malts, not too bad. It has a distinct refreshing orange taste with some bready malts. It’s quite refreshing and crisp perfect summer beer. All in all I reach for this beer all the time on a hot day it’s the best wheat beer I know of.
