Bell’s Oberon is a wheat ale fermented with Bell’s signature house ale yeast, mixing a spicy hop character with mildly fruity aromas. The addition of wheat malt lends a smooth mouthfeel, making it a classic summer beer.

a: light straw yellow color, slight 1/4" head with fair retention. Did reduce to lace rings around my glass. slightly cloudy but not much compared to other wheat styles. s: light aroma, slight citrus and wheat t: to be honest, I found the taste to be bland. I found it to be well balanced, but did not really notice much citrus character. the most I found was a slight sweatness from the wheat and perhaps any spice used.

Straw color, total clarity, very slight haze. Actively rising carbonation but a sliver of a white head that doesn’t look very promising. Nice touch of spices on the nose such as coriander complemented by a lemon/lime citric aroma. I feel like the percentage of wheat in the grist is not much more than 20%, but I could be wrong. On the entry it feels a little too spritzy and stripped of flavor, but it is still far better than most American wheat ales I’ve tasted. More than decent mouthfeel and a great summer drinker for anyone.

1 pint can @ Timo A. Could not interpret the date.
Pours clear pale golden color with a small head. Aroma is sweet peachy, orange and hay, some pale malts. Flavor is also sweet orange and wheat, some apricot. Feels a bit old sadly.

Bottle at home. Aroma is sweetish biscuity malt, floral, wheat, bubblegum, fruits, dough, yeast, spices, apricots. Flavour is over moderate sweet with a little bitterness in the finish. Body is medium. While this is certainly a decent and drinkable beer, I fail to see why this is so highly regarded.

Thanks Greg for sharing the bottle! A bottle about 6 months old or so. Poured into a wine glass showing neon yellow with sparse white foam. The nose shows round malts and light orange peel. The palate is light bodied and moderately carbonated. Flavors of round lagery malts, slight citric notes, and a comparably strong bitterness.

A delicious wheaty-easy-to-drink beer. I know people go crazy when this hits shelves again each summer, and I only had it a couple of times a couple of years ago, but I remember it being the quintessential summer beer: light in body, light in color, and kind of sweet.

Finally a wheat beer without wheat in taste. I like it! Well balanced in different styles (?), anyhow a good stuff. B@H

Spicy, sour, yeasty wheat beer aroma from a murky medium yellow body with a foamy white head. Lots of good wheat taste here with a full body that makes this more substantial than a lot of wheat beer. Some cloves in the middle but not strong and a nice alcohol bite for a wheat beer. Finishes slightly sweet and yeasty. Very refreshing and very good.

Can to goblet. Aroma is corn, wheat, grass, hay. A bit musty. Touch of fruit, maybe orange, deeper down. Appearance is Light yellow, mildly cloudy...medium white head. Taste is grass and light citrus. A shy aftertaste. Feel is a touch pasty, but smooth. A bit underwhelmed.

5.8%ABV. Wheat Ale. Poured out of the bottle a light amber.  8ºSRM. Nose is beery and wheaty.  There is some fruity herbaceousness to the nose.  Some residual dusty floury aromas. Mouthfeel is watery.  There are some light toasty flavors with wheat toast coming up most prominently.     Light hop finish. Overall, a light drinking adequately put together ale

Gold with thin beige head; aroma is mild slightly fruity raspberries; flava is sweet raspberry and subtle grain; feels medium creamy soft but lively fizz; finishes dry tangy
