Bottle. Pours a hazy sunny color. Aroma of malts and yeast. Taste of wheat and malts with light carbonation.

A bit weird, but that is the American wheat category in a nutshell. Generally fit in the ’what were they thinking category?’ Have had this in my hands many times over the years, for instance on trips to exotic locales like Michigan, but it never quite made the cup, turns out I was not missing much. Starts out nice, was close to 4/5 for appearance, nice cloudy pale yellow, but spotty retention/lacing. Nose, is fruity, malty, but mainly grainy. Palate is full of citrus, and grain. Meh.

It ain’t bad. I’d buy this one again. If the grocery store down the damn street keeps carrying it, I’ll pick up a six pack at take it to the party.

Love Oberon! Never heard of it until I loved to Michigan. Tastes like a summer afternoon.

12 fl oz bottle from Potsdam, served cool in a tulip glass.

App.: Murky dirty blonde with a nice tight off-white head. Aroma: A bit tangy, lots of wheat, wet yeast, kinda boring. Palate: Medium body, full, silky effervescence. Flav.: A little infected, wheat, boiled cereals, light esters, not very enjoyable; dry with limited bitterness and a clean-ish wheat finish.

Decidedly meh.

A nice lightly cloudy golden color on this ale Some spice comes through on the nose. Wheat, grass, and spiced fruit come through on the palate. Fairly complex and very drinkable. Great summertime beer.

Very good beer. Light enough to drink when it’s hot outside, and perfect for a sunny day. I also enjoy this all year round because it has a very nice wheat flavor, but the yeast helps add the citrus.
