COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American wheat ale made with European ingredients. Belgium wheat malt and Czech Saaz hops provide a spicy, fruity balance to this seasonal ale. (Formerly known as Solsun)

The aroma is not really that impressive. It is very yeasty with some sour wheat and Saaz hops. The appearance is nice with a cloudy gold color and a three finger head. The flavor on the other hand is great. It has lots of wheat and just enough hops to balance with some citrus bitterness. The palate is thick. I think this one would be outstanding if it smelled better.

Pours a cloudy light orange with lots of particulate in the glass- a little excessive. Aromas of orange peel, grapefruit, apricot, faint yeast, and hop resin. Taste is light and similar to Blue Moon but with better balancing hops and more yeast character. Almost creamy on the palate. Very faint spicy hop finish. Overall not bad but sort of bland altogether.

This pour a cloudy gold with a white head. It smells citrus and hops. It taste orangey, hoppy in the bottle, light coriander and a tad bitter at the end. This is summer sessional, but a decent one at that.

Bottle at home. Golden body with short head. Nose of wheat, fruits and spices. Taste again of wheat, also some fruits, including citrus. Clean finish. Nice summer beer.

Hazy blonde color with a thin white head. Aroma and flavor of wheat and citrus (lime I think). Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Pretty good for a wheat beer ! Thanks to csbosox for sending this my way.

UPDATED: SEP 30, 2006 The big surprise is an American Wheat can actually taste good. Much like a hefeweizen. Gold, lots of yeast. Flavors of orange, coriander, citrus, and wheat. Easy to drink and refreshing. Good stuff.

A very unusual beer. When I opened it I could not tell that it was a wheat. I had aromas of orange I thought. The taste was about the same. It tasted good but I was really confused as to the style. Very fruity aftertaste with more of a bitter than most wheats I’ve had. Carbonation and mouthfeel are good. Unusual in a very good sort of way. An almost thick drinker.
