COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American wheat ale made with European ingredients. Belgium wheat malt and Czech Saaz hops provide a spicy, fruity balance to this seasonal ale. (Formerly known as Solsun)

Tap at Oberon release party in Cbus. Very well balanced and drinkable. Not my preferred style of beer but I enjoyed it very much. Can see why this is their top seller. Dangerously drinkable.

12 oz bottle thanks to DrBayern - Pours a gorgeous cloudy sunset orange in a weizen glass, with a nice white holding head. Smell is nice and citrusy, with predominantly orange scents, along with light yeasty and hearty wheatiness. Taste is nice, rich and quite full bodied for a wheat. Wheaty thick mouthfeel, but still nice and bubbly and refreshing. Very nice and flavorful for the style.

(Bottle) Pours a hazy dark yellow color with a pillow-like head. Mild aroma of spices and wheat. Excellent mouthfeel and fine carbonation. Taste includes some light citrus and wheat. It’s well balanced and quite tasty. By far the best American Wheat I have had so far.

Pours hazy light orange in color. Yeasty light citrus aroma. Very well balanced smooth easy drinking beer. Finishes nice with a slight orange taste. For alot of Michiganders this is their favorite summer brew. It’s even better with an orange or lemon. But I rated without because I don’t know the boundaries on that. Very nice wheat overall.

Hazy orangish amber color with a pretty substantial frothy white head. Aromas are of light citrus, yeast, grass and wheat malt. Flavor is heavy of wheat/yeast/grass with a orange/lemon citrus bite that lies just under the surface. Finishes a bit spicey and blends nicely with grain and citrus. Very nice wheat with a bit more character than most.

Another very refreshing, easily accessible beer that, given half a chance should be able to convert some macro-only drinkers...

A fantasic beer for warmer weather. This beer has a luxurios frothy head, that sticks around. Very smooth, a bit cloudy. Lots of crisp citrusy, but not sweet flavors. No doubt a good hop bitterness is present.

UPDATED: OCT 25, 2008 Re-rating after a terrible first experience: On tap at the flying saucer in KC. Pours a very clear, bright golden yellow with a small bubbly white head. Remains extremely lacy and rather good looking. Aroma is light and wheat malty. Some mellowness to it with citrus and grassy hops. Taste is similar, very smooth and mellow. Full mouthfeel. Overall, maybe I had a bad first batch, but after giving this a try again, I’m very glad I didn’t give up on this beer. A solid session beer and a decent tasting wheat. Thanks Ceebs for making me rethink my first rating!
