UPDATED: DEC 5, 2004 Bright ,thick, cloudy yellow with a medium head (off tap). Nose is wheat, passion fruit, lighter citrus, maybe papaya. Pleasure on the palate, super refreshing, perfect amount of carbonation. Taste begins with strong wheat and bready notes and bursts into citrus and light tropical fruit flavors with slight alcohol presence in the abrupt saaz hop end. From the big sun tapper, it is a perfect refresher and can go head to head with the best American saisons and the lighter American wheat ales!

Pours a cloudy straw color with no head. Decent lacing. Aroma of wheat and fruit. Flavor of fruit-orange, wheat. Nice combination for a summer beer.

Expected more but nothing really special. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a big fizzy head. Smells of stale wheat and tastes like a hefe without the banana flavor. Nice and refreshing but weak on flavor.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20 Crosling (1861) - Loveland, Colorado, USA - JUL 12, 2005
Extremely cloudy tangerine colored juice in color with a thin, creamy head. Doughy, lemony, citrusy nose with a light hint of orange, which may smell more like cheap tang. Raw, hearty wheat with a bit of skunk and spoiled fruits. Hoppy for an American wheat, with spicy, floral notes. Pretty full-bodied and creamy for a wheat beer. Not good, at all.

Bottle - thanks to Eyedrinkale! Pours golden-wheat color, very cloudy with a small white head. Aroma is light and citrusy, with yeast and sourdough bread notes. Refreshing wheaty sweet flavor with lemon, honey and mild summer fruits. Creamy, smooth body with light carbonation. Nice summer beer!

Courtesy dsnowden. Thanks Dan. Pours a yeasty orange with a small white head. Smells of wheat, citrus, yeast, and orange peel. Slightly fruity and sweet. The taste has a lot of wheat and yeast in it. A touch of some cinnamon and orange citrus round out the flavors. Pretty full flavored for a wheat beer. Nice crisp taste. Good summer beer.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 GAManiac (1852) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - AUG 30, 2008
Pours an ever so slightly hazy golden amber with lots of bubbles rising to the top into a short-living white head that dissipates to a swirl and ring quickly leaving traces of lacing. Aroma is sweet with bready wheat balance with the citrus hops with lemons and oranges. Taste follows the aroma with the big wheat backbone up front and a slight hop bitterness in the finish with mainly citrus. A hint of spices show up in the taste that I didn’t get in the smell. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with tons of carbonation and makes for a very drinkable summer wheat beer.
