An American wheat ale made with European ingredients. Belgium wheat malt and Czech Saaz hops provide a spicy, fruity balance to this seasonal ale. (Formerly known as Solsun)

Bottle, batch 8310. Poured a hazy pale with a creamy white head that left light lace. Large particles drifting about. Aroma of wheat, citrus and a slight butter background. The flavor found a nice mix of wheat, citrus and a light malt background to give me the impression I was drinking an ice tea. Light to medium body and dry. Enjoyable.

From a 12oz. long neck brown bottle with a short blurb about the wheat ale and a batch number, 7259, packaged on 02/20/06, on the back label. Made a good appearance, poured a cloudy orange hued golden with a nice foamy white head that slowly settled into a semi-sticky, thin foamy lacing, good carbonation. Had a wheat malty and spicy, floral hop nose with the Bell’s house strain yeastiness. A crisp, smooth medium bodied mouth feel, good drinkability. Delicious tasting, wheat, slightly fruity, maltiness, a sharp hop bite from the spicy camomile-like Saaz hops, a little alcohol warmth in the palate and a crisp, spicy, malty finish. One of favorite seasonals from Bell’s, a really tasty pale wheat ale.

Bottled sample. Gold in colour with medium carbonation and a bit of haze. A bit more wheat malt and bread on the nose than expected with backing notes of yeast, and earthy spices. Pale wheat malt forward again on the palate with some mint and citrus on the back end. A bit heavy bodied, but there was enough bitterness to balance it out. Not quite the light and spicy ale that I had expected, but still fairly good.

Pours a murky light orange with an off-white head. Aroma is a slightly musky sweetness with mild orange peel and spice cant. Nice mild effervescence to the palate. Sweet and mildly spicy start, light Belgian yeast finish. Not overly sweet or overbearing.

Very light, wheat aroma, reminded me of pretzels, taste was light tangy wheat, somewhat too thin for a Bells product Overrated.

12 oz. bottle - thanks to beerlando for the trade; pours a beautiful hazy light orange with frothy off-white head; aromas of lemons, grass, wheat and stale grain; aromas sort of on the rich side; bready, raw grain, lemons, yeast and honey; very nice texture and great beer overall; could drink plenty of this

Bottle. Aroma a very nice blend of orange and wheat. Flavor of sweet oranges, sweet wheat, very juicy. Shortly a very baked toasty character emerges from the wheat malt which doesn’t really compliment the gentler, sprightlier orange-wheat combination. Occasional sharp prickles of carbonation. Tasty.

Yellow and very murky. Lots of little floaties in this one. Head is white and thick -- average in size for a wheat beer. Lemon and orange zest, sweet malt, and vanilla cookies in the aroma. Cloves and oranges can be found in the malt dominated flavor. Some spicy hops in the finish, rounded out by sour grains and wheat tanginess.
