On tap at Legends - Notre Dame. Poured a cloudy golden color with a fairly well-sustained white head. Aroma was citrusy, with some grass noted. Beer was well-carbonated, and the flaver came mostly from citrusy, grassy, and wheaty hops. Light-to-medium malt backbone. Pleasant hop finish.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DonMagi (5599) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 7, 2008
Bottle at chris_o’s pre beerexposed tasting. Alround rating: Fruity, tropical fruit, tangerine, theres a decent amount of wheat which is a bit thin and very much american wheat like, but still quite good. Take out the wheat and iv no doubt this would be awsome.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 jerc (5580) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 17, 2004
Pours a hazy pastel yellow-orange body with a moderate white head. Aroma is mostly fruit accented yeastiness - mild citrus and maybe banana - with a bizarre sort of sour undercurrent that I can only describe as stale elementary school student vomit. This sounds harsh, but its the best thing I could come up with to describe what is in actual fact not that bad. Just a bit of a... wheaty? bite in the background. Pleasant medium-thick palate. Flavour is refreshing and restrained yet still subtly complex. Otherwise sweet profile is balanced by the bitterness with a wheaty bite to it. Finish vaguely reminds me of some of the Unibroue products. Thanks for this bottle Obisbeer.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - MAY 26, 2008
Bottle pours a golden orange summer unfiltered wheat ale. The wheat gives the one a weak body perfect for some summer yardwork. Flavor is some orange, honey, wheat, and spice.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 BückDich (5468) - McCall, Idaho, USA - OCT 24, 2006
Bottle: Pours a light yellow color with nice head and lacing. Nose of light toasty and hop, some malt and light citrus, faint wheat. The flavor has a nice full body and a solid mouthfeel with more wheat than the nose along with a tangy characteristic that wasn’t there before. Nice vitamin c type finish, light malt sweetness, good body. Nice all around wheat, but no similarities with the german counterpart.

Bottle. Deep golden color, small white head, solid lacing. Aroma of white pepper and malt. Taste is slightly bitter, slightly citrus. OK.

Cloudy orangey-yellow, small vanishing head, Organic green, slightly citrus aroma. At deep end some hoppinesss. Sweet some berry candy like, hopped bottom.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Cornfield (5277) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - AUG 31, 2004
UPDATED: JUL 9, 2005 I was surprized to find out this was a wheat ale, the label not giving away any of the ingredients. This has a righteous hopped aroma with a thick red/tan head, a pleasant bitterness followed by a citric aftertaste. No alcohol flavor, just solid refreshment.

3.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20 Drake (5231) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - MAR 27, 2008
Bottle from Whole Foods in Charlottesville. I tried this first last year and was underwhelmed. I’ve heard this year’s batch is better. We’ll see. I’m not a fan of the aroma, which is a slight yeastiness, bubblegum and cardboard. Small but persistent head and excellent lacing. Hazy peach in appearance. Fruity taste nicely balanced with the hops. Good taste.
