Wheaty aroma with a small bubbly head. Poured golden with a slight orange color. It tasted bananas and a slight spiciness here

Draught: Faint citrus/meal scent. Cloudy golden color. Small white head. No lacing. Lemony, with good balance of hops and malts. Rather have a Prima Pils or Farmhous Summer. Still, not bad for a warm day.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Dogbrick (4531) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 22, 2003
Pours a foggy darker yellow color with a medium white head. Aroma of yeast and light hops. Light bodied with flavors of hops and fruit but not in big doses. Finish is crisp and progressively bitter throughout the glass. I found this to be a little mundane but it was not too bad.

I'm glad to find that this is a wheat ale, because that's what I suspected (it wasn't listed as such), so I guess I'm getting better at this tasting thing. Light golden with the look you'd expect from an American wheat. It's smooth with a grainy flavor and a bare citric edge. Good.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 muzzlehatch (4425) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - AUG 14, 2002
UPDATED: MAY 18, 2004 Aug 02: Slightly yeasty, fruity nose; not so much wheat, and the fruit seems to be of the soft yellow (peach-apricot) type rather than the typical lemon. Hazy yellow-golden color. Very hoppy, full-bodied, not as sweet as many wheats I've had lately; apricots seem prominent in the mix to me; this seems to be a cross between an APA and a wheat if you ask me, not entirely successful but well worth a try.
May 04: Most of what I said 2 years ago holds true, except it seems to me the aroma is more dilute, and the body is just a little too thick, and too sour at the finish. Too heavy to be refreshing, not complex enough to be really interesting. Ehh.

Bottle from yem25 via Secret Santa. Thanks man. Pours a nice orange yellow with sediment and a decent head. A nice vibrant looking wheat ale. Aromas of soft sweet wheat and some softer citrus/tangerines and apricots. Soft wheat, pleasant juicy sweetness, light tangerine and apricot in the flavors. A bit of a crisp finish. Soft body, smooth and velvety. Perfect for what it is. This is an amazing wheat ale. I want more of this stuff.
